Taylor, on July 4, 1917 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.^1,3 Olah Margaret Hoke died on January 28, 1959 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia, at age 67.^3,4 She Mrs. Olah Margaret Elmore, 67, died Wednesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jack French of Airport Drive, Princeton. Mrs. Elmore was born in Princeton, and was a member of Kee Street Methodist Church. Her husband, Jim T. Elmore, whom she married on July 4, 1917, preceded her in death in August 1938. A son, Robert Elmore, a Navy pilot during World War II, was listed as missing and presumed dead in 1945. In addition to her daughter, survivors include a grandson, James Robert French; three sisters, Mrs. D. T. Carr Sr. and Miss Rachel Koke, of Princeton, and Mrs. Dan Myers of Harrisburg, Pa; and a brother, Dr. Leonard Hoke of Nitro. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Alex Shelton, C. O. Stafford, Robert D. Turner, Richard T. Lloyd, Jess Hughes, and H. H. McGaughey. Flower bearers will be the WSCS of the Kee Street Methodist Church. on January 29, 1959.³

     Robert Wade Elmore was born on May 24, 1921 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.³ He died on April 30, 1946 at age 24; Awarded the Purple Heart Medal.^7,8

Born Sept. 19, 1926 in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late James and Olah Hoke Elmore. She was a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, cousin and friend. She enjoyed visiting her friends, baby-sitting her grandson when he was young, and volunteering for as many church activities as she could. She was a member of Kee Street United Methodist Church where she attended all of her life. She was a member of Weatherford Fellowship Circle, Ruth Byrd Circle, Everready Sunday School Class, Official Board, Worship Committee, and volunteer for Mark's Place. She retired after a lifelong career from Princeton Bank and Trust Co., now known as First Community Bank. To many customers in the Princeton area, Margaret was one of the bank's best and most favorite bank tellers. Her husband, Jack French, and one brother, Robert Elmore, preceded her in death. She is survived by son, Jim and his wife Susan (Walsh) French of 104 Cottonwood Court JoHo Estates, Princeton; son, Andrew French; grandson, Michael French of the Naval Aircraft Carrier USS Enterprise; granddaughter, Andrea (Missy) French of Arizona; two great-grandchildren of Arizona; special cousins, Nancy Donovan and Karen Thorn of Princeton. He was a member of the Kee Street United Methodist Church in Princeton where he served as past chairman of the administrative board, member of the finance committee, teacher of the Mens Bible Class and a lay speaker of the Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Princeton High School, Concord College and West Virginia University. He attended Emory University and the University of Colorado. He also was a member of the Princeton Masonic Lodge 134, A.F. & A.M. He was a charter member of the Princeton Jaycees and was a former member of the Princeton Zoning Board. He was a veteran of World War II having served with the U.S. Navy. Survivors: wife, Margaret Elmore French; sons, James Robert French of Princeton and Andrew Neal French of Phoenix, Ariz; sisters, Louise Lloyd of Baton Rouge, La., and Betty Rae Hughes of Rogers City, Mich; three grandchildren. Burial at Roselawn Memorial Gardens at Princeton. on July 10, 1992.⁵

Taylor, on December 25, 1912 at Mercer Co., West Virginia.^1,5 Emory Clarence White died on March 22, 1981 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia, at age 90.^8,7 He Clarence "E.C." White, 90, of Princeton Rt. 4 at Fountain Park on U.S. Rt. 460, died Sunday at a Princeton hospital after a short illness. A lifelong resident of Mercer County, he was a son of the late William and Minnie White. He was a retired fanner and cattleman and was a member of the Godwin's Chapel Christian Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Everett White in 1963. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Gertrude Thornton White; one daughter, Mrs. Juanita White Hill of Pnnceton; two granddaughters, Mrs. Linda Moore and Mrs. Wanda Van Wickien, both of Sanford, N.C; three sisters, Mrs. Julie Ferguson, Mrs. Virginia Walker and Mrs. Louise Elmore, all of Princeton; and one great-granddaughter. Burial will follow in the White Family Cemetery at Fountain Park. The Chapel Church Men’s Bible Class will serve as pallbearers. on March 24, 1981.⁷
