After retiring from Union Theological Seminary, Dot and Sparky also enjoyed living both in Belleair, Fla. and Amherst Co., Va., on the Pedlar River in their home, "Rocky Top." She graduated from John Marshall High School and attended Westhampton College. Dot was a devoted and lifelong member of Overbrook Presbyterian Church, where her mother enrolled her in the Cradle Roll at birth. Musically talented, she loved singing in the choir. Dot led a very active life, travelling frequently, enjoying musicals and socializing with the XYZ Club, her family and friends. Dot was also a member of Mizpah Chapter # 32 O.E.S. and served as Star Point Ruth. She is survived by numerous cousins including Agnes Reid Pickral, Elizabeth "Pete" Connelly and Charles Elliott. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Louise Leadbetter, Elizabeth Garrison and Josephine Jones. Her many nieces and nephews will miss her greatly and, in whose hearts, she will live. on December 28, 2006.⁴
