(Peggy) Gilliam, 3221 Goodview Drive, died at 1 a.m. Saturday at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, after a brief illness. Born in Kingsport, he had lived here his entire life and attended Brookside Kindergarten. Barry would have attended Brookside Elementary School next school year. He was a member of Bloomingdale Missionary Baptist Church. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are two sisters, Miss Jeanna Gilliam and Miss Cindy Gilliam, both of Kingsport; maternal grandfather, Charles Bruce Cowden, Kingsport; and paternal grandmother, Mrs. Doris O. Gilliam, Kingsport.Burial will be in Tri-Cities Memory Gardens. on June 20, 1983.1

     Erma Ellen Peret TWIN FALLS – Erma Ellen George, 93 of Twin Falls, passed away June 3, 2019 at St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center. Erma loved her family more than anything in life and dedicated her life to the care and support of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. The all miss her very much. She married Richard in 1948 and began farming in Twin Falls. In 1966 Richard & Erma purchased a farm in Milner, Idaho where they resided for many years. The last two years Erma lived with her son in Twin Falls. Erma was preceded in death by her parents, John and Flora Peret; husband, Richard George; daughter, Lynda George. She is survived by her children, Rodney George of Twin Falls, Richard W. (Monica) George of Houston, Cheryl George of Boise, and Phillip (Joan) George of Kimberly; honorary son, Hiroaki (Horuku) Okamoto and their daughter Lisa Okamoto; grandchildren, Amber (Rick) George of Pocatello, Joshua (McKenzie) George of Twin Falls; great grandchildren, Brody George, Jarett George and Hudson George. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.1 She was buried at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, Twin Falls, Twin Falls Co., Idaho.1 She was born on July 13, 1925 at Caldwell, Canyon Co., Idaho.2,3 As of August 3, 1948,her married name was George.3 She married Richard George on August 3, 1948 at Caldwell, Canyon Co., Washington.1,3,6 Erma Ellen Peret died on June 3, 2019 at Twin Falls, Twin Falls Co., Idaho, at age 93.1

Richard was born June 16, 1927 in Twin Falls, Idaho to William R. and Mae Hindmarsh George. He grew up in Twin Falls and farmed all his life. Richard loved his family, his farm and his cattle. He married Erma on August 3, 1948 in Caldwell and they celebrated 67 years together. When he smiled, his blue eyes sparkled. He was loved and cherished by all who were a part of his life. Richard is survived by his wife Erma George of Murtaugh, his children, Rodney George of Murtaugh, Richard George (Monica) of Houston, Texas, Cheryl George of Boise, Idaho, Philip George (Joan) of Kimberly, Idaho and by his "special son" Hiroaki Okamato (Horuku) and their daughter Lisa Okamato of Tokyo, Japan. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Amber Horsely (Rick), Joshua George and Lisa Okamato; and great grandchildren Brody George and Jarrett George. He was preceded in death by his daughter Lynda Lea George. Richard's family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Rosetta Assisted Living in Twin Falls. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. on December 29, 2015.5
