She was born on March 26, 1935 in Freeport, IL to her parents Joy & Roberta Sword. She graduated from Lanett High in Illinois in 1953, then Graduating from Wesleyan University in 1953 with a Bachelor’s of Music. . Gloria lived in Iowa until moving to Banning, CA in 1963. She was active in the Church Choir & Ladies Club. She was a member of the Banning Methodist Church. Gloria is survived by her daughters, Debie S. Lara (John Lara) of Banning, CA, Brenda Loera (Joe Loera) of Las Cruces, NM; granddaughters, Andrea Angulo (Roman) of Banning, CA, Elena Hernandez (Hecker) of Navarre, FL, Lyida Loera (Andy) of Groveland, CA; grandsons, John Lara, Jr., Thomas Lara (Melissa), Benjamin Lara all of Banning, CA, Jason Loera, David Loera both of Las Cruces, NM, Michael Loera of Navarre, FL; 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joy and Roberta Sword & her husband of 43 years, Orval Washburn. Burial to follow at San Gorgonio Memorial Park, of Banning, CA.² She was buried at San Gorgonio Memorial Park, 2201 North San Gorgonio Avenue, Banning, Riverside Co., California.^3,2 She was born on March 26, 1935 at Freeport, Stephenson Co., Illinois.^3,2 As of March 31, 1957,her married name was Washburn.¹ She married Orval Cornelius Washburn, son of Terrence Orval Washburn and Cecile C.      William Cameron Armentrout William Cameron Armentrout, 59, of Dennison, Ill., passed away when his house caught fire on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014. He was the son of the Rev. Lewis C and Helen R. Armentrout of Timberville. He was born in Harrisonburg on Jan. 9, 1955. He grew up in the Elkton area and attended Elkton High School. Cameron worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken during his high school years and Skyland on Skyline Drive. He served in the U.S. Army from 1976 until 1991. He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen, who died Dec. 3, 2012; a daughter, Christina Dale Armentrout; and a stepson, Rory Far. He is survived by his mother and father; sisters, Glenda F. Rader and husband, Dodge, of Stuarts Draft, and Susan Elaine Miller of Timberville; nephews, Alden Rader and wife, Stacey, and daughters, Natalie and Coley Rader of Staunton, Isaac Rader and daughter, Bailee, of Lynhurst; niece Kendra Miller Lokey and husband, Wes, of Savannah, Ga., and nephew Scott Miller and girlfriend, Ashly Fauls, of Timberville; stepdaughter Bethany Diefenbaugh of Roanoke; stepson Brad Ford and wife Brandi; grandchildren, Shylynn, Chancey and Sefton; son Carlton; and grandson Grant. Cameron worked as a long distance truck driver for Paris Transport for over 20 years in Paris, Ill. He loved living in Virginia and was planning to return here to live.¹ He married Karen S. Washburn, daughter of James Lavern Washburn and Beverly Jean Jones.¹ William Cameron Armentrout was born on January 9, 1955 at Harrisburg, Saline Co., Illinois.¹ He died on November 19, 2014 at Dennison, Clark Co., Illinois, at age 59.¹
