Howard Hoover Olive Jr. died on October 9, 2018 at Palmyra, Lebanon Co., Pennsylvania, at age 86.^3,4 He The Reverend Howard Hoover "Bud" Olive, Jr., 86, of Lebanon, died October 9th, 2018 at Londonderry Village, Palmyra, PA after a long illness. Bud is survived by his wife of 64 years, Audrey Jeanette (Eggleston) Olive and his children, Paul D. Olive of Robesonia, PA, Pamela J. Gold of Salem, VA, David H. Olive husband of Sherri Baum Olive of Lebanon, PA and three grandsons, Dalton Olive, Dillon Olive and Christian Gold. A brother, John Olive, of Georgia and a sister, Carolyn Shepherd of New Jersey are his surviving siblings. Bud was born in Roanoke, VA October 18, 1931, where he grew up and later married. He moved to NY and graduated with a B.A. from Nyack College in 1957. He worked as a youth pastor and as an assistant to the pastor at the First Baptist Church in Patchogue, Long Island, NY. He was ordained during his time at First Baptist Church. Bud then spent 4 years with the New York Intl. Bible Society in an outreach ministry. His contact with people of the Jewish faith led he and Jeanette to join Message to Israel. When Message to Israel merged with The Bible Christian Union, the Olives moved from New York to Lebanon, PA where Bud continued his ministry and served as a deacon at Faith Baptist Church. After his retirement, he continued serving the Lord by volunteering as a chaplain at Good Samaritan Hospital. Bud was a faithful servant of the Lord, with a giving heart and a passion for ministering to all. His good works are a legacy left in the hearts of those he led to Christ by his example with kindness, guidance, faithfulness, and humbleness. Interment will be at Kimmerlings Cemetery, Lebanon. on October 10, 2018.³

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her sister, Bonnie Freeborn. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and Hanford Post No. 5 of the American Legion. Surviving are four daughters, Alice Sinon of Elberon, N.J., Marie Williams and Margaret Lehner, both of Cedar Rapids, and Cathy Anderson of Marion; nine grandchildren; and three brothers, Bernard and Ruppert, both of Schaller, and Earl of Chicago.      Robert Lucian Lynch Robert L. Lynch, 47, of Chicago, a former Cedar Rapids resident, died early Saturday in a fire at his Chicago home. He was born August 5, 1931, in Cedar Rapids and resided here until moving to Chicago in 1967. He was an employee of an Illinois insurance company. A graduate of Immaculate Conception High School, he was a member of St. Joseph's and St. Anne's Catholic Church in Chicago and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
