     Alice Joy Schaubach was buried at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5737 Airport Road NW, Roanoke, Virginia.⁴ Her Social Security Number was 224-46-5148.³ She was born on July 16, 1933 at Crewe, Nottoway Co., Virginia.^1,2,3 As of April 17, 1954,her married name was Richardson.¹ She married Frank Nelson Richardson, son of Angie Edward Richardson and Claudia Frances Smith, on April 17, 1954 at Crewe, Nottoway Co., Virginia.^1,4 Alice Joy Schaubach died on December 11, 2005 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia, at age 72.^3,5,4 She Alice Joy Schaubach Richardson, 72, of Roanoke County, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 11, 2005. A native of Crewe, she was a graduate Lewis-Gale Hospital School of Nursing, having served as President four years. She was a member of Cave Spring Baptist Church and a former member of Connelly Memorial Baptist Church for 33 years where she served in many leadership roles. Alice served four years as Roanoke Valley Baptist Associational (WMU) Womans Missionary Union Director as well as many other Associational and State Officers. She served the Virginia Baptist Mission Board six years. She was a former part-time Adjunct Instructor at National Business College in the Medical Dept., and a professional volunteer for 44 years. Following a heart transplant on April 13, 1992, Alice and Nelson devoted themselves to Organ and Tissue Donor Awareness Education. Alice was President of the local Transplant Support Group for several years and assisted (VOPA) Virginia Organ Procurement Agency in many ways. Survived by her loving and faithful husband of over 51 years, Frank Nelson; sons and wives, Jeff and Melinda and Barry and Debbie; two grandchildren, Christian and Emily; brother and sister-in-law, Eddie and Betty Schaubach of Crewe, Va; numerous nieces and nephews. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. on December 13, 2005.⁴

     Emma C. Smith was buried at Peninsula Memorial Park, Newport News, Virginia.^2,3 Her married name was Hamblin.¹ She married Earl Estle/Estel Hamblin.¹ Emma C. Smith was born on October 27, 1903 at Virginia.^2,3 She died on July 15, 2008 at Virginia at age 104.^2,3 She Mrs. Emma C. Hamblin, 104, beloved mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and great-great-great-grandmother, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2008. Born in Barbour County, W.Va., on Oct. 27, 1903, she was a Peninsula resident for more than 50 years. She was a member of Morrison Methodist Church for 50 years, where she was the keeper of the nursery for 18 years, creating bonds with children that has lasted throughout their adulthood. She was a member of the Women's Home Demonstration Club for 25 years and enjoyed making crafts of all kinds in the Club and giving them to family and friends. Emma loved working in her yard and caring for her plants. She often told her children that if she died in her yard digging in the dirt, she would be happy because she felt God's presence all around her. She was also a volunteer with the AARP through her church. Emma was preceded in death by her son, Ernest Hamblin. She is survived by her two sons, Marvin Hamblin of Seaford and Luain Wayne Hamblin of Southern Pines, N.C; her four grandchildren, five great- grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great- grandchild. Interment will be at Peninsula Memorial Park. on July 17, 2008.³

     Earl Estle/Estel Hamblin was buried at Peninsula Memorial Park, Newport News, Virginia.^1,2 He married Emma C. Smith, daughter of James Abraham Smith and Elza Hampton "Elzie" Elmore.⁶ Earl Estle/Estel Hamblin was born on September 5, 1903 at Shawsville, Montgomery Co., Virginia.^1,2,4 He died on June 13, 1973 at Newport News, Virginia, at age 69.^1,2,3 He Earl Estel Hamblin, 69, 6 Morrison Ave., Newport News, died Wednesday afternoon in Riverside Hospital after a long illness. He was a native of Shawsville and a resident of the Peninsula for the past 35 years. He was a member of Morrison United Methodist Church, a retired businessman and a former employe, of Hiden Storage and Forwarding Co. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Emma S. Hamblin; three sons, Marvin E. Hamblin of Seaford, Ernest L. Hamblin of Newport News and Luain W. Hamblin of Lancaster, Pa; a half-brother, E. A. Musselman of Roanoke, four grandchildren and a greatgrandchild. on June 14, 1973.³

     Evelyn Elzie Richardson was buried at Sherwood Burial Park, 1045 Lynchburg Turnpike, Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.² She Evelyn Richardson Wygal, 98, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, December 15, 2018. She was preceded by her parents, Angie and Claudia Smith Richardson; brother, Clarence Richardson; sister, Louise Hudson; husbands, Robert Aliff and Fred Wygal; and a daughter, Marilyn Aliff. Evelyn was a longtime member of First Church of God Hildebrand Road. Surviving are her children, Sherrill (Rebecca) Aliff, Charlotte Aliff, Sandra (Roger) Snyder, Suzanne (James) Hatcher; brothers, Paul and Nelson Richardson; sister, Gladys Gibson; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park.² She was born on January 11, 1920 at Shawsville, Montgomery Co., Virginia.³ As of September 8, 1939,her married name was Aliff.³ She married Robert Carl Aliff on September 8, 1939 at Roanoke, Virginia.^2,3,5 As of October 7, 1966,her married name was Wygal.³ Evelyn Elzie Richardson married Fred Edward Wygal on October 7, 1966 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.^2,3 Evelyn Elzie Richardson died on December 15, 2018 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 98.²

     Fred Edward Wygal was buried at Sherwood Burial Park, 1045 Lynchburg Turnpike, Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia. He was born on March 7, 1916 at Olaf, Roanoke Co., Virginia.² He married Evelyn Elzie Richardson, daughter of Angie Edward Richardson and Claudia Frances Smith, on October 7, 1966 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.^1,2 Fred Edward Wygal died on May 21, 1999 at age 83.

     Robert Carl Aliff was buried at Sherwood Burial Park, 1045 Lynchburg Turnpike, Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.⁴ He was born on September 3, 1919 at Shawsville, Montgomery Co., Virginia.^2,3,4 He married Evelyn Elzie Richardson, daughter of Angie Edward Richardson and Claudia Frances Smith, on September 8, 1939 at Roanoke, Virginia.^1,2,4 Robert Carl Aliff died on August 3, 1965 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 45.⁴

     Russell Elmer Townsley was born on September 10, 1952 at Hagerstown, Washington Co., Maryland.^2,3 He married Martha Renee Richardson, daughter of Paul Tyler Richardson Sr. and Eleanor Flippen, on October 20, 1979 at Roanoke, Virginia.^1,2,3 Russell Elmer Townsley died on October 23, 2016 at Frederick Co., Virginia, at age 64.³ He FAIRPLAY, Md. —Russell Elmer Townsley, 64, of Fairplay, Md., passed away on Sunday, Oct. 23, 2016, in Frederick County, Va., as a result of a motor-vehicle accident. He was born Sept. 10, 1952, in Hagerstown, Md., to the late Frank Russell and Caroline May Greenwalt Townsley. He was a 1970 graduate of Williamsport High School, Williamsport, Md. He also attended Hagerstown Junior College. He was employed by Fox & Associates Inc. for 42 years as a surveyor and partner. Russell was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was of the Methodist faith. He was an Eagle Scout, a member of the Hagerstown Rotary and he was the Paul Harris Award Recipient, Washington County Homebuilder's Association, Conococheague Tribe 84 IORM Williamsport, Md., and Washington County Land Use Council. He was a former member of Williamsport Lions Club. Russell is survived by his wife, Martha R. Townsley, whom he married Oct. 20, 1979; son, David R. Townsley of Fairplay, Md; daughter, Joanne R. Townsley and her boyfriend, John Mills, Cearfoss, Md; his beloved grandchildren, Owen and Alexa; sister, Mary Townsley of Coden, Ala; sister, Pat Reyes of San Francisco, Calif; sister, Ginny Ramirez of Modesto, Calif; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; special friends, Jesse and Jean Witmer, Randy and Angie Shifler and Bobby Harmon.
