     Ralph McDonald Broughman Sr. was buried at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens, 524 Cedar Road, Chesapeake, Virginia.^3,4 He was born on January 15, 1939 at Fincastle, Botetourt Co., Virginia.^1,2,5,4 He married Violet Odene Yopp, daughter of Armon Chatman/Chatmon Yopp and Annie Laura Fitzgerald, on August 10, 1956 at Low Moor, Alleghany Co., Virginia.¹ Ralph McDonald Broughman Sr. and Violet Odene Yopp were divorced on August 13, 1971 at Chesapeake, Virginia.² Ralph McDonald Broughman Sr. died on March 23, 2019 at Chesapeake, Virginia, at age 80.^3,4 He Ralph McDaniel Broughman, Sr., 80, of Chesapeake, went to be with his Lord in heaven, and his beloved wife, Nellie, Saturday, March 23, 2019. Born in Fincastle, VA he was the son of the late Rynard Broughman and Mary Callaghan. He was also predeceased by his wife, Nellie Virginia Broughman. He continued to plumb until summer of 2018, even as his health was failing. Survivors include his children Sylvia Halle and husband David, Donald Broughman, Laura Everette and husband Eddie, Randy Broughman and wife Michelle and Helen Combs and husband Russell; 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. The interment will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. on March 25, 2019.³
