She was school supply supervisor for Slippery Rock University having worked at the Slippery Rock University Bookstore for the past 19 years. Before that she worked in supply at the Grove City College Bookstore for 15 years. She was involved in SRU events and activities including serving for a period as fraternity mother for Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. Survivors include her daughter, Nikita D. Flowers, and grandson, Elijah N. Flowers of Slippery Rock; two sons, Justin R. (Kristin) Flowers of Fayetteville, N.C., and Tyler J. Flowers of Slippery Rock; two sisters, Anna (Jim) Roher of Volant and Carol Carpenter of Webster, N.Y; and three brothers, Paul (Kim) Hulings of Slippery Rock; Richard (Patty) Hulings and Monty (Dee) Hulings all of Butler. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Bill and Kirk Hulings. Interment will be in Slippery Rock Cemetery. on January 22, 2018.3

She was employed at Cramer Motors as a service manager and was previously employed at Odin Stove and General Electric Co. She had attended Messiah Lutheran Church for many years. The widow of Martin Willover and also Charles Fitzgerald, she is survived by two daughters, Sandra Brosius of Millcreek Twp. and Judith Brown and her husband David of Erie; three sons, Lester Sturdivant and his wife Peggy of Erie, Larry Fitzgerald and his wife Darlene of Harborcreek and Casey Fitzgerald and his wife Barbara of Harborcreek; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Horn and an infant granddaughter, Breanne Fitzgerald. Interment, Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. on April 11, 2007.1

He was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, serving as a radio communications technician and in transportation prior to his retirement in 1973 after a 21-year military career. He married Mary Elizabeth Kelly on Jan. 10, 1959, in Hugo, Okla. Mr. Littlefield was a member of Clearview Baptist Church of Marshall. Survivors include his wife, Mary Kelly Littlefield, Marshall; a son, Kelly Ronald Littlefield, Marshall; two daughters and a son-in-law, Shari and Bill Friday, Tyler, and Terri Littlefield Teeler, Carrollton; two grandchildren, Ryne Friday and Sarah Friday, both of Tyler; three brothers, Merle Littlefield, Littleton, Colo, Ted Littlefield, Brownsboro, and Lloyd Littlefield, Longview; a sister, Sally Littlefield, Longview; and several nieces and nephews. on August 2, 1990.5

Ted graduated with honors from the first graduating class of the Kilgore College Police Academy. After his years in law enforcement he was able to pursue his passion for agriculture. Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Ted was cherished by his family and admired by all his friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ronald "Buster" Littlefield. Survivors include his wife, Lyda Fortson Littlefield of Rice; two brothers, Merle Littlefield of Littleton, Colo., and Lloyd Littlefield of Longview; and a sister, Sally Grigsby of Longview. Ted had six children, Todd and his wife D'Aun Littlefield of Overton, Heidi and her husband Richard Clover of Saltillo, Amy and her husband Chris Reed of New London, Emilee and her husband Morris Harmon of Gilmer, Chad and his wife Shanna Littlefield of Quitman and Clayton Dawson of Rice; and six grandchildren, Lyndsey Littlefield, Sarah Clover, Lauren Littlefield, Richie Clover, Haylee Clover and Michael Clover. on March 29, 2010.2

     Her married name was Littlefield.1 Lyda Fortson married Teddy Dale "Ted" Littlefield, son of George Willard Littlefield and Mary Virginia Fitzgerald.1,2 Lyda Fortson was born on August 19, 1938 at Corsicana, Navarro Co., Texas.2 She died on May 27, 2018 at Texas at age 79.2 She Lyda Fortson Littlefield, age 79, won her fight with cancer and went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 27, 2018. She passed away at her home just outside of Rice. She was born Aug. 19, 1938, in Corsicana. Born "Lyda Gayle Fortson" to Joe B. Fortson, Jr. and Ruby Sykes Fortson, she was the oldest of two children. Lyda was born and raised in Corsicana and after high school she attended Southern Methodist University, where she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Science. She furthered her education for a time at the University of Houston, where she met her first husband Hugh Dawson. The couple moved to California, where they had their son Clayton, but soon moved back to her native Texas. After a career in medical research and a subsequent career in computer programing, she returned to Rice in 1987, back to the family farm. She took over management of her father's farm and ranch operation and continued in that role until her passing. During her agricultural career she met, and later married, Teddy Dale Littlefield. Lyda was both a Christian and a Patriot. She cared greatly about the message of Jesus and the nation that our forefathers left to us. She was a strong and independent woman, who always let you know what she thought. An independent thinker, with a "show-me" attitude, she loved to research a multitude of subjects. The knowledge she gained, she loved to share with the people in her life. She would often quote Hosea 4:6 "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge...." She had a great love for the family farm and enjoyed her agricultural endeavors. She was survived by her brother Joe B. Fortson, III; her son Clayton Sykes Dawson; and by marriage five children, Todd Littlefield, Heidi Littlefield Clover, Amy Littlefield Reed, Emilee Littlefield Harmon and Chad Littlefield. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband Teddy Dale Littlefield. on May 30, 2018.2
