Ann Josephine Kurtz JANNEY, Ann Kurtz, age 82, died peacefully in Oviedo, Florida on Thursday, June 16, 2016. Born Anna Josephine Kurtz on March 19, 1934, in Kennedy Township, she was a daughter of the late George Richard Kurtz and Anna Daley Kurtz. She attended elementary school in Kenmawr and was a graduate of Stowe High School and Eastern Kentucky University where she earned her RN degree. Ann was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Oil City for many years and worked for the Venango County Visiting Nurses Association before relocating to the Orlando, Florida area in 2003. Even after she retired, Ann continued to work part time as a nurse until age 80 and as a hospice volunteer. Although she loved nursing, Ann's greatest joy in life was her family. She was preceded in death by son, David Ray Janney, in 1973 and by former husband A. Ray Janney in 2006. She is survived by son, Scott R.P. Janney of Media, Pennsylvania, his wife, Rebecca, and their son, David Harrison Janney; and son, Randy J. Janney of Winter Park, Florida, his wife, Melanie, and their son, Drake. Ann was also preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers, Mary Agnes Kurtz, Marcella Kurtz Patton, Jane Kurtz Fischer, Laura Kurtz Wray, George Richard Kurtz, Jr., Thomas H. Kurtz, and Cyril Francis Kurtz. She is survived by sister, Grace Kurtz Konchar; and was also the beloved aunt of many nieces and nephews, their spouses, and children. Interment will be in Allegheny County Memorial Park in Allison Park.1 She was buried at Allegheny County Memorial Park, 1600 Duncan Avenue, Allison Park, Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania.1 Her married name was Janney.1 She and Amos Ray Janney were divorced.1 Ann Josephine Kurtz married Amos Ray Janney, son of General Arnold "Mack" Janney and Annie Lee Black.1 Ann Josephine Kurtz was born on March 19, 1934 at Kennedy, Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania.1 She died on June 16, 2016 at Oviedo, Seminole Co., Florida, at age 82.1
