Doris found joy in the simple things life offered. She cherished her family and friends. As an animal lover, her dogs, Candy, Anna, Maggie and Mikey, were a special source of happiness. She loved colorful flowers, and enjoyed planting and sharing them with her family and friends. Prior to her decline in health, Doris was an avid reader and spent time crocheting. Additionally, she treasured the time and conversations with her special friends. Her family wishes to express their appreciation to her caretakers at Commonwealth Assisted Living at Christiansburg; the support of staff from Southern Care Hospice; the physicians who cared for her during her hospitalization, Drs. Siegel, Clark, and Beato; and her ICU nurses. on January 29, 2015.3
