     Mildred Diane Gilchriest Mildred Diane Gray, age 70, of Buna died Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at her home in Buna, Texas. Funeral service will be 2pm Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Buna. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery. A native of Bessmay and a lifelong resident of Buna, she was a retired butcher for Kaines Grocery in Buna. She is survived by her daughters, Wyhnona Burnett and husband Burt of Groves, Texas, Ramona Stevens and Rocky King, both of Buna, her brothers, Dickie Gilchriest, Doylin Gilchriest, David Gilchriest, Dayle Gilchriest and Keith Gilchriest, her sisters, Sherry Carrell and Gayle Curtice, six grandchildren, Tyler Burnett, Chase Burnett, Seth Stevens, Kassi Stevens, Macey King and McKenzie Staub. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Alvin Gray, parents, Odis and Ida Marie Gilchriest and her daughters, Linda Barbre and Penny Petty.² She was buried at Antioch Cemetery, Buna, Jasper Co., Texas.^2,3 Her married name was Gray.¹ She married Herbert Alvin Gray, son of Lacy Lee Gray and Bertha Mae Farley.^1,2 Mildred Diane Gilchriest was born on June 14, 1944.³ She died on December 17, 2014 at Buna, Jasper Co., Texas, at age 70.^2,3

He was born in Greenville on August 22, 1956, a son of Mrs. Pauline Long Dillon of Ballard and the late Herman Long. He was a member of the Pine Grove Baptist Church and attended Peterstown schools. Surviving in addition to his mother is his stepfather, Eddie Dillon; one brother, Marshall Long of Greenville; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Ora Gunnoe of Ballangee; his stepgrandmother, Mrs. Nora Morris of Narrows, Va. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Broyles Funeral Chapel in Peterstown with Rev. Harold Cox officiating, assisted by Rev. C. L. Crews. Burial will follow in the Red Sulphur Springs Cemetery. on July 31, 1976.²

Born Oct. 26, 1942 in Virginia Beach, Va., she was a daughter of the late Joseph Ray and Mildred Virginia Goodwin Carver. Linda was a bus driver for more than 30 years in Monroe County. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Long, and one son, Billy Boothe. Left to cherish her memory is her one son, David Gerald Boothe and wife Gena of Lindside; two grandchildren, Josh and Tyler Boothe both of Lindside; three sisters, Sibby and husband Waverly Owney of Smithfield, Va., Peggy Marske of Lexington, N.C., and Brenda and husband Garland of Wikel; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday (today), April 12, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Wickline Funeral Home with the Rev. David Spencer officiating. Burial will follow at Red Sulphur Springs Cemetery. Family received friends Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Homer Carr, Mike Dixon, Bobby Dunbar, Allen Spangler, Timmy South, Kevin Weiss, Jimmy Williams, Quince Galford. on April 11, 2007.⁴
