Born November 20, 1977 in Mullens he was the son of the late Walter Darrell Tolliver and the late Alta Fern Tolliver. DJ was a 1996 graduate of Pineville High School, and was the proud owner of Tolliver's Logging LIC. DJ was a wonderful husband and father. He will be missed dearly by many. He loved with his whole heart and gave so much to his family. We all love you DJ. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step father Alvis Tolliver. Those left to cherish his memory, include his loving and devoted wife Deborah Tolliver, his son Mathew Tolliver and his unborn son Asher, Two step daughters Whitney Farley and her children Hunter, Ryder, Tyler, and Josie. Kimberly Burnette and her husband John. His sister Gloria Sizemore and her husband Frankie, and a host of nieces, nephews, co-workers and countless friends.      Alvis McDonald Tolliver BUD MOUNTAIN — Alvis McDonald Tolliver, 69, of Bud Mountain, passed away Thursday, Dec. 26, 2006, in Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, following a short illness. Born March 27, 1937, in Wyoming County, he was the son of the late Rev. Calloway Tolliver and Ada "Adie" M. Cozort-Tolliver. Mr. Tolliver attended Mullens Church of God. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and digging root. He loved being with family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two wives, Jill Raye-Tolliver and Alta "Fern" Tolliver; and his siblings, Isaac "Ike" Tolliver, Sadie May Tolliver-McComas-Ellison, Grace "Gracie" Madeline Tolliver-McComas, Hiram Tolliver, Jess Tolliver, James Tolliver, and Mazie Ellen Tolliver-Church. He was married to Barbara Church-Tolliver on March 6, 1957 in Iaeger, Wyoming County, WV. That marriage ended in divorce. He also married Martha Robinson-Tolliver on March 23, 1963 in Pineville, Wyoming County, WV. Survivors include a son, Alvis F. Tolliver of Florida; a daughter, Lovealea Ada Ellen Tolliver-Horvath and her husband Kenneth Horvath, of Bud Mountain; four stepsons, George Weaver and his wife, Evonne Weaver of Bud Mountain, Curtis Weaver and his wife Kathy Weaver of Mullens, Randy Weaver and his wife Patty Weaver of Bud, and D.J. Tolliver of Pineville; two stepdaughters, Barbara Weaver-Lane and her husband Mart Lane of Bud Mountain and Sharon Weaver-Sims and her husband Anthony Sims of SC; three brothers, Okey A. Tolliver of Pineville, Raymond Oliver Tolliver of KY and Dale Tolliver of IL; two sisters, Francis Margaret Tolliver-Adkins-Sims of Keyrock and Sylvia Lou Tolliver-Billings of Turkey Dip; his companion, Mamie Weaver, of Bud Mountain; and four grandchildren. Service will be 12:00 noon Thursday at Calfee Funeral Service Chapel, Pineville, with the Rev. J.L. Riffe officiating.
