Surviving are; daughter, Marlene Skeens and husband, Robert; sons, John D. Smith and wife Margurite, and G. Michael Smith; grandchildren, Mark Skeens, Debra Hughes and husband Phillip, Tara Marshall, Julie Sayre and husband Brian, James Smith and wife Brandee; great-grandchildren, Anthony Skeens, Andrea Norton, Miranda Skeens, Michael Hughes, Logan Mitchell, and Brooke Sayre; great-great-grandson, Cole Norton; several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Brenda Morris for her love and care for many years. Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, September 20, at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston, with her son, Pastor John D. Smith officiating. Burdette Jr. of Charleston; daughter, Deana Lyun Burdette of Charleston; brother, Phillip Burdette of Charleston; sisters, Carol Jones of Dunbar, Loretta Thomas of Charleston and Jacquelyn Boggess of Charleston; grandchildren, Blake Burdette, Rikayla Coiner, Ricky Lee Bowles and Eathan Holmes. Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, with Pastor Roger Reed officiating. Committal services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Mausoleum Chapel at the Cemetery. Entombment will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to services. A special thanks to Greg and Brian Goins and Jeff Jones at this time. on December 31, 2017.1
