Bradney.³ Ida Diane Ion was born on November 11, 1956 at Erie, Erie Co., Pennsylvania.³ She died on February 24, 2013 at age 56.³ She Ida Diane Ion Bradney, age 56, passed away February 24, 2013. She was born in Erie the daughter of the late John B. Ion Sr. and Betty Jane Dunham Ion. She moved to Virginia Beach with her family in 1982. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Ronald F. Bradney, her children: Stephanie L. Bradney (Aaron) Martin, Ronald J. Bradney and Shannon R. Bradney; her granddaughter, Alexandra R. Bradney, a sister Mary Lou Ion McCarty 3 brothers John B. Ion, Jr., William P. Ion (Maryann) and Bradley E. Ion (Vea) many nieces, nephews and friends. Diane, as Ida preferred to go by, worked at Sentara Leigh Hospital and Baypointe Rehab before finding a welcome home at Medi Hospice as a Registered Nurse. When Diane was not nursing, she was outside with her gardens, camping and enjoying life with family, friends and her two beloved Shih-Tzu's Molly and Murphy. Besides her parents, Diane was preceded in death by a brother Edward William Dunham and a sister Anna Mae Ion. on March 8, 2013.³

     Sylvia J. Smeltzer was buried at New Providence Mennonite Cemetery, New Providence, Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania.^2,1 Her married name was Petrus.¹ She married Richard William "Rich" Petrus, son of Anthony Petrus and Thelma Elizabeth Ion.¹ Sylvia J. Smeltzer was born on February 17, 1943 at Shelocta, Indiana Co., Pennsylvania.^1,2 She died on November 23, 2016 at Lancaster, Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania, at age 73.^1,2 She Sylvia J. Petrus, 73, of New Providence passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2016, at Hamilton Arms Nursing Center in Lancaster. She was born in Shelocta, the daughter of Raymond D. and R. Leila (Blystone) Smeltzer. Her husband, Richard Petrus, passed away in 2004. In the past, Sylvia had worked at Jamesway and Klingensmith Drug Store in Western Pennsylvania. She was a member of Christ the King Community Church in Lancaster and the Polish Falcons of America. She enjoyed knitting, cooking, Hallmark Channel movies, and Pittsburgh sports teams. Her favorite cat was named "Chloe." Surviving is her son, Paul Glenn married to Laura E. Smeltzer; her stepchildren, Ruth Reinke (Daniel), and Carla Densmore (Brian); her siblings, Raymond (Bud) Smeltzer, Jr. (Cindy) and Bonnie L. Giran; and her sister-inlaw, Elizabeth Smeltzer. There are 11 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Wesley C. Smeltzer. Family and friends are invited to funeral services on Friday, Dec. 2, 2016, at 10 a.m. from The Groff Family Funeral Service, 528 W. Orange St., (corner of Orange and Pine streets), Lancaster Pa. 17603. Viewings will be at the Groffs on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and also prior to the funeral on Friday from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Burial will be in New Providence Mennonite Church Cemetery. on November 29, 2016.¹
