Silvis, whom she married at the Nazarene Church of Warren; and two cousins, Marie Perry, of Warren, and Valerie Murphy, of Bradford. Services will be private, at held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Barnes Cemetery. on April 27, 2016.2

Marie taught English at Beaty Jr. High School and was the school librarian at Warren Area High School and then at Youngsville High School, from which she retired in 1994. Marie is survived by her daughter, Ann Perry of Menlo Park, CA, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Valerie Murphy of Bradford, PA and her husband of 36 years, Norman Perry, whom she married June 27, 1958. Due to current restrictions there will be no public visitation or service at this time. A memorial service is being planned for a later date. Interment will be in Warren County Memorial Park. on March 24, 2020.2

He served in the Army from 1963 to 1965 as an Armor Intel Specialist and earned his Sharpshooter badge. Upon returning to the area, Ed was employed by Rexnord Industries for many years. He was a member of Pleasant Community Church. Ed loved to travel. He and his wife, Shirley, visited the Panama Canal, Mt. Denali and Mt. Whitney in Alaska, the Hoover Dam, Lake Superior, and numerous European countries. Ed was an avid bicycler and runner and was a member of the YMCA. He was also an extremely gentle and generous man who will be greatly missed. One summer, Ed and Shirley covered the cost for each child who attended the church’s Vacation Bible School to receive a Bible. Ed is survived by his brother, Kenneth H. Silvis, of Bear Lake, PA; three nephews, Roy, Shawn, and Jeffrey Silvis; as well as his church family and friends. In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death on April 25, 2016, by his wife, Shirley A. (Dykes) Silvis, whom he married May 26, 1972, at the First Church of the Nazarene, in Warren; and a brother, Larry A. Silvis. A private burial service will be held at Barnes Cemetery, with Rev. Michael Poindexter, pastor, Pleasant Community Church, officiating. on April 10, 2018.2

Porter and Nellie J. "Nell" Boyd, in 1934.1 Arthur Edward "Jack" Lutz died on April 13, 1969 at Brookville, Jefferson Co., Pennsylvania, at age 70.1 He LEEPER - Arthur E. (Jack) Lutz, 70, of Snydersburg, retired employe of the Manlon Steel Barrel Co. in Oil City, died early Sunday in Brookville Hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Lutz worked 18 years at Manlon Steel Barrel, retiring in 1963. He was a member of St. Joseph Church, Lucinda. He and the former Anna Porter were married in 1934. She survives along with three daughters, Mrs. William (Dolores) Hollis of Knox, and Della and Nellie at home; eight sons, James of Altoona, Thomas of Buffalo, Arthur of Lucinda, Raymond of Snydersburg, Edward, Ronald, William and Paul at home; three sisters, Mrs. Paul (Gertrude) Reinsel, Miss Germanie Lutz and Mrs. Loyd (Catherine) Finney of Clarion, and 11 grandchildren. A son, Richard, four sisters and three brothers are deceased. Friends may call any time after 2 p.m. today at the Moore-Borland Funeral Home in Leeper, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Tuesday. Requiem mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Church at Lucinda with the pastor, Rev. William Holl, as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Church Cemetery. on April 14, 1969.1

Born April 5, 1957 in Clarion, he was the son of the late Arthur E. and Anna E. Porter Lutz. He enjoyed riding his bicycle and watching "Dukes of Hazard and "Mash". He also enjoyed helping his brother, Ray. Bill attended Clarion Schools. He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Lucinda. Bill is survived by 2 brothers and 3 sisters: Raymond A. Lutz and his wife, Michal of Lucinda; Paul A. Lutz and his wife, Lynn of Knox; Delores Hollis of Leeper; Della Lutz of Lucinda and Nellie Lutz of Fryburg. He is also survived by 2 sister-in-laws: Jean Lutz of Lucinda and Carol Lutz of Blairsville. In addition, he is survived by 11 nephews and 7 nieces: Brad Lutz, Bill Hollis, Dave Hollis, Ray Lutz, Jr., Floyd Lutz, Tyler Kapp, Shawn Lutz, Scott Lutz, Tim Lutz, Jeff Lutz, Charles Lutz, Susie Gadley, Kathy Beichner, Betty Servey, Nichole Schill, Rose Ana Spzlyman, Ginny Kerschbaumer and Cindy Mong. He is also survived by 2 special nieces, Adrienne Lutz and Kierstin Lutz. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by 6 brothers: Arthur, James, Thomas, Richard, Edward and Ronald Lutz. Friends and family may call on Wednesday, April 6, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Borland Funeral Home, Inc. in Leeper. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 7, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lucinda with Rev. Joseph Czarkowski, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.5 He was born on April 5, 1957 at Clarion, Clarion Co., Pennsylvania.1,5 He died on April 4, 2016 at Lucinda, Clarion Co., Pennsylvania, at age 58.1,5
