Saturday for Mrs. Florence L. Fink, 63, well known resident of 852 Oak Grove Street, who died Wednesday noon in the local hospital following a seven month illness. She was the wife of Lewis H. Fink. The Rev. Victor Korb, pastor of the Lickingville Evangelical United Brethren Church will officiate at the services in the Hutchinson and Morton Funeral Home. She was born at Red Brush in Forest County on August 18, 1898, the daughter of James A. and Effie May Mong Mealy. Mrs. Fink moved to Walnut Bend as a child and attended the Walnut Bend School. She moved to Oil City 45 years ago and had lived here since. She married Lewis H. Fink on June 21, 1917. In addition to her husband she survived by four daughters, Mrs. James L. Mitchell, (Hazel) Aikens of Oil City, Mrs. Carl (Helen) Bialo of Oil City, Mrs. Thomas (Barbara) Marsh of Rouseville and Betty Jane at home, and five sons, Milo P. Whitehill of Orlando Fla., James W. Fink of Dempseytown, Lewis C. and Robert D. of Oil City and Gordon E. in the Air Force at Laredo, Tex. She also is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Rodgers of Orlando, Fla., Mrs. Robert (Twila) Kramer of Apopca, Fla, Mrs. Wilbur (Elsie) Dittman of Bradford, Mrs. Julius (Bessie) Ahrens of Oil City and two brothers, Everett Mealy and Lawrence Mealy of Bradford. Twenty-seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive. Friends may call at the Hutchinson and Morton Funeral Home anytime after 7 p.m. today. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday. Interment wil be in the Heckathorne Cemetery. on May 31, 1962.4

Born on Dec. 6, 1917, Mr. Whitehill was the proprietor of a nursery and worked for Thomas Motor Co. in Union City for many years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Late Great Chevy Club and did volunteer work at the Ronald McDonald House. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Whitehill; a brother, Gordon Fink; a stepson, David Hill; a stepdaughter, Lorraine Dorn; and a grandson, Michael Dornhoeffer. Survivors include three daughters, Jeanne L. Copus of Girard and her husband, John, Mary Olson of Erie and her husband, Elmer Jr., and Connie Street of Umatilla, Fla., and her husband, Richard; three brothers, James and Lewis Fink, both of Oil City, and Robert Fink of Union City; four sisters, Hazel Aikinns, Helen Bialo, Barbara Marsh and Jane Lohmier, all of Oil City; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Carey Hand Cox Parker Funeral Home in Winter Park. Burial was at Highland Memorial Gardens in Orlando, Fla. on August 2, 1997.7

Bragg, Calif., Lori Royer, Teri Cirino, Darci Adamszek (Donald) and Steven Olson (Tracy) all of Erie; two sisters, Jeanne Copus (John) of Girard and Connie Street (Richard) of Fla; six grandchildren, Nick (Kelli) and Kristen Royer, Salena & Scott Pastore, Sarah Himes and Karley Olson; one great-grandson, Anthony Johnson; many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a funeral service there on Thursday at 10 a.m. conducted by the Reverend Hal Shafer of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church. She is survived by three sons, Bob Copus and his wife Cheryl, Tim Copus and his wife Carolyn, and Rick Copus and his wife Karen, all of Girard; a sister, Connie Street of Umatilla, Fla; four grandchildren, Maggie, Suzie, Emily and Jacob; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East in Girard on Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in Burton's All Faiths Chapel with Rev.
