     Shirley Ruth Snyder was buried at Bethel Cemetery, Holly Meadows, Tucker Co., West Virginia.² She Shirley Ruth Allison, 78, a resident of Ravenna, OH passed from this life Friday, October 9, 2015 at her home. Shirley was born Friday, May 14, 1937 in Red Creek, a daughter of the late Henry Snyder and Jennie Judy Snyder. Shirley was one of fourteen children. She has lived in Ravenna for the past 12 years, formerly of Mantua, OH and Parsons. On July 7, 1984 Shirley married Robert E. Allison. They were blessed with 18 years of marriage before his passing on October 21, 2002. Left to cherish Shirley’s memory are four children, Shirley Ann Plum of Hambleton, Cindy Bennett of OH with whom she lived, Ginger Bennett of Grantsville, and Chuck Bennett of OH with whom she lived, five siblings, Lena Pennington of Elkins, Betty Bonner, Sharon Nestor and husband Walter, Kelly Snyder and wife Adeline and Bill Snyder, all of Parsons, three grandchildren, Charles Bennett, Marshall Sommerville and Christy Mason and 3 great grandchildren. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Charles Bennett, her husband, Robert and eight siblings, Tacie DeWalt, Gaye Day, Muriel Simmons, Opal Griffith, Patti McDaniel, Gerald, Hoy and Kenneth Snyder. Shirley was a farmer for eighteen years and for seven years she was the owner and operator of Bennett's Bookstore in Ravenna. She enjoyed cooking, reading, animals and loved her cats. Shirley took great pride and enjoyment in working. A visitation will be held at the Summerfield Funeral Home Tuesday from 6P- 8P. A funeral service will be held conducted Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 1:00 pm. Rev. Pat Cassidy will officiate and interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery in Holly Meadows.¹ She was born on May 14, 1937 at Red Creed, Tucker Co., West Virginia.^1,2 As of July 7, 1984,her married name was Allison.¹ She married Robert Ellsworth Allison, son of Verda Clarence "Bertie" Allison and Myrtle C.      Her Social Security Number was 189-14-2997.⁴ Phoebe Pryer was buried at Rockland Cemetery, Rockland, Venango Co., Pennsylvania.¹ She was born on March 13, 1923 at Rockland, Venango Co., Pennsylvania.⁴ As of March 21, 1944,her married name was Allison.² She married Richard Ellsworth Allison, son of Fredrick Ellsworth "Fred" Allison and Minnie Beery, on March 21, 1944 at Seneca, Venango Co., Pennsylvania.^1,2,3 Phoebe Pryer died on May 28, 1944 at Franklin, Venango Co., Pennsylvania, at age 21; Drown in a boating accident on the Allegheny river.⁴

Allison and a secretary at Cranberry Area High School, was dead on arrival early Monday afternoon at Oil City Hospital. Mrs. Allison was born May 3, 1926, a daughter of Donald J. and LeVada Cauvel Winger. She was employed as the librarian at Cranberry High School. She was a member of the Seneca United Methodist Church, the Gleaners Class and the WSCS of the church. She and Richard E. Allison wore married September 15, 1947. He survives along with a son, James, at home; a daughter, Shirley June Allison, a sophomore at Clarion State College; her father, Donald J. Winger of Moncks Corners, S.C; two brothers, Donald J. Winger Jr. of Oil City and Jack C. Winger of San Diego, Calif; two sisters, Mrs. Albert (Doris) Bucholz of Hanahan, S.C., and Mrs. Richard (Pearl) Mong of Seneca. on December 3, 1969.¹

     Ellen Marie Barnett was buried at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5737 Airport Road NW, Roanoke, Virginia.^1,3 She Ellen Marie Poff (formerly Barnett), age 83, passed away on December 24, 2017 at Lewis Gale Hospital surrounded by family members. She was born October 29, 1934 to Berta Brown and Fred Barnett and lived all her life in Salem, Virginia. Ellen was a graduate of Andrew Lewis High School and married Earl Poff on January 8, 1955. Together, Ellen and Earl had three children. Ellen worked and retired from GE after 32 years in January of 1995. Ellen was a petite but feisty woman who, as a young lady, loved to roller skate and dance. Her greatest joy was raising and spending time with her children, she also played an important role in the lives of her grandchildren. As her health declined, her husband Earl was a faithful and loving husband, tending to her every need. Ellen is survived by her husband, Earl; her brother, Jerry Barnett; her children, Patti, Julie, and Eric; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.¹ She was born on October 29, 1934 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.¹ As of January 8, 1955,her married name was Poff.¹ She married Earl Leander Poff, son of Oliver Hampton Poff and Sarah Blanche Richards, on January 8, 1955.^1,2 Ellen Marie Barnett died on December 24, 2017 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 83.¹
