(Westwood) McIlwain, 72, of 514 Locust St., Kittanning, who died April 24, 2003, will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Mantini Funeral Home, Inc., 701 Sixth Ave., Ford City, where a Parish Wake Service will be at 8 p.m. Sunday and a Prayer Service will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday. A Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Lawrence Church, Cadogan with the Rev. Raphael Glinkowski, O.S.P., officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis of Paolo Cemetery. on April 25, 2003.5

Prior to retirement, he had worked in maintenance for West Penn Power's Armstrong Station. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the Navy. He was a life member of Kittanning Hose Company 1. He used to enjoy tennis, and had volunteered at the Butler VA. Mr. McIlwain enjoyed polka dancing, spending time with his family and grandchildren and arguing politics. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Della Cousins McIlwain; his second wife, Doris McIlwain; a daughter, Colleen McIlwain; brothers, W.L.D. McIlwain, Donald McIlwain and Bill McIlwain; and a sister, Anna Lee McIlwain. Survivors include a son, Kevin and Linda McIlwain, of Kittanning; two grandchildren, Breandan McIlwain and Kellen and Angela McIlwain; four great-grandchildren, Aurora, Hannah, Liam and Kaylee; and a niece, Alice Clark. Visitation from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Mantini Funeral Home Inc., 701 Sixth Ave., Ford City. Prayer service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, Cadogan, with Father Bryan Summers as celebrant. Interment in St. Francis of Paola Cemetery. on January 15, 2014.1 He died on January 14, 2015 at Kittanning, Armstrong Co., Pennsylvania, at age 89.1
