Dayton, 81, of Titusville, RD 5, died at 6:24 p.m. Thursday, June 24, 1993, at the Titusville Area Hospital. Mr. Dayton was born May 3, 1912 in Clarion, a son of the late James E. and Emma L. Guetthoff Dayton. He was married to the former Twila Black on Feb. 9, 1935 in Clarion. He had been employed by Penelec as an electrical trouble and service man for 29 years until his retirement in 1974. He was a member of St. Walburga Church; a member of the IBEW and was also a former Union steward, and was a member of AARP. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons: Walter E. Dayton of Chicago, Ill. and Michael F. Dayton of Norcross, Ga; three daughters: Mrs. John (Mary) Naber of Westchester, Pa., Mrs. Roger (Betty) Richards of Eighty Four, Pa., and Miss Ann Dayton of Titusville, RD 5; 20 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Walburga Church with Rev. Rocco Tito, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Walburga Cemetery. on July 13, 1992.1 He died on June 24, 1993 at Titusville, Crawford Co., Pennsylvania, at age 81.1

Mary was the beloved wife for 60 years of John Naber; loving mother of John (Cara) of Louisville, KY, Dina Ogden (Bob) of Downingtown, PA, Charles (Chrissy) of Norristown, PA, Mark (Susan) of Louisville, KY, Joe of Elverson, PA, Michelle Mattson (Jim) of Exton, PA and Liz Dumond (John) of Honey Brook, PA; devoted grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; and dear sister of Betty Richards, Barbara Ann Dayton and Michael Dayton (Mary Ann). Mary was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Throughout her illness, she always kept her kindness, her smile and her humor. Relatives and friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM Friday, September 4, 2020 at SS Simon & Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Ct., West Chester, PA 19382. Interment will be private due to Covid-19 restrictions. on September 1, 2020.2
