Hubbard.1 Joan M. McDonald was born on February 17, 1935 at Johnsonburg, Elk Co., Pennsylvania.1 She died on July 3, 2016 at Erie, Erie Co., Pennsylvania, at age 81.1 She Joan M. (McDonald) Work, age 81, of Millcreek Township, passed away at LECOM Senior Living, on Sunday, July 3, 2016. Born in Johnsonburg, Pa., on February 17, 1935, she was a daughter of the late John and Gertrude (Sullivan) McDonald. Joan was a registered nurse, certified occupational health nurse specialist and certified case manager. She worked for Lord Corporation for 28 years. Joan served on the boards of The National Alliance for the Mental Health/Mental Retardation Board of Erie County. She was a past president of the NW PA Association of Occupational Health Nurses. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Aulenbacher; her daughter, Cynthia A. Work; and a brother, James McDonald. She is survived by her sons, Randy Work, wife Bren, of Millcreek and Kevin Work, of Erie; a brother, John McDonald, of Kansas; grandchildren, Gene and Melissa Work; Brian Work, great-grandchildren, Adriana, Koner, Brooke, Blake and Bella Work, Jacob Schleicher and Jordyn Gains; and stepchildren, Chuck Aulenbacher, wife Terri, Betty Croxall, husband Dennis, Steven Aulenbacher and Edward Aulenbacher. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Friends are invited to call at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 W. 38th St., at Greengarden Blvd., Thursday from 2-4 p.m. to 6-8 p.m. A funeral service, officiated by Rev. Dr. Don Baxter, will follow at 8 p.m. Entombment, at Laurel Hill Cemetery, will be private. on July 6, 2016.

Born in Erie on March 8, 1957, she was the beloved daughter of Joan Work, and loving sister of two brothers, Randy Work, wife Brenda, and Kevin Work, all of Erie. She is further survived by an uncle, John McDonald, of Overland Park, Kansas, two nephews, and several cousins. Cindy was preceded in death by her father, J. Truman Work; a half-brother, H. Truman Work; an uncle, Jim McDonald; her step-father, Charles Aulenbacher; and her grandparents, Jack and Gertrude McDonald and William and Mildred Work. She was a graduate of Gannon University with a degree in Liberal Arts. She worked at the Mental Health Association of Northwestern Pennsylvania, served on the Board of Directors of the PA Mental Health Consumers Association, and was a Certified Peer Specialist. An avid reader and person of remarkable insight, she was admired for her courage, tenacity, and compassion, and will be greatly missed. Friends may call at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th Street at Greengarden Boulevard, Monday from 4 until 6 p.m., at which time a service will be conducted by Msgr. Richard Sullivan. Private inurnment will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family. on November 4, 2012.2

He is the brother of Cindy Work, Randy Work and his wife Brenda, and Kevin Work, all of Erie along with Nicole Work of Edinboro and Larry Stokes and his wife Linda of Ft. Myers, Fla. There was no visitation. Private burial will be held in Laurel Hill Cemetery. on July 23, 2008.2

He was born in Hamler, Ohio on November 26, 1943, the son of Bertram and Juanita (Hoops) Rosebrock. "Dan the Man" retired from General Motors following 25 years of service and later from Navistar after 10 years of service. He previously worked on the railroad in Northern Ohio and Indiana. Dan was a member of the East Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses where in the past four years, he devoted 70 hours a month in volunteer preaching. He greatly enjoyed bicycle riding and corny jokes. In addition to his mother of Defiance, Ohio, he is survived by his wife of 37 years, Judy A. (Work) Rosebrock; nine children, Hans (Tracy) Rosebrock of Toledo, Ingrid (Mike) Miller of Antwerp, Ohio, Kelly (Chip) Fifer of Antwerp, Jim (Kim) Kizer of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Mark Kizer and his fiance', Stephanie of Toledo, Heather (Seagan) Robinson of Springfield, Jennifer (Tito) Davis of Battle Creek, Michigan, Frieda (Eric) Rose of Battle Creek, and Heidi Rosebrock of Springfield. Also surviving is a sister, Barbara (Charlie) Stephens of Defiance, Ohio and seventeen grandchildren, Whitney, Carissa, Lizabeth, Dominic, Zachary, Abigaille, Olivia, Amelia, Toby, Tao, Ione, Natalie, Levi, Isabella, Ember, Eden, and Reed. on March 24, 2013.3
