During his long service, he was for many years the chief surgeon on the staff at Bloomsburg Hospital, and was a member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society and the American Medical Association. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, the Bloomsburg Elks Lodge 436, and the Caldwell Consistory. He was married to the former Josephine Furman, for 62 years. Survivors include the widow, two children, Dr. Robert F. Beckley, Lock Haven, and Mrs. Eleanor Sabota, Valdocta, Ga; three grandchildren, and two greatgrandchildren. Services will be held Saturday in Bloomsburg. on January 14, 1977.³
