Mrs. Bash studied at Washington Women's Seminary and went on to become the first woman school bus driver in Washington County. She later worked catalogue sales for Sears, from where she retired in 1985. She was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church, Amwell Township. Mrs. Bash volunteered at Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township. She enjoyed traveling, Washington Symphony Orchestra and playing cards. On March 24, 1945, she married William S. Bash, who died December 7, 1990. Surviving are a son, Mark W. Bash of Washington; a daughter, Sharon Ford of Washington; a brother, Richard L. (Rodell) Lewis of Washington; a sister, Elizabeth Sprague of Nazareth; three grandchildren, Scott A. Ford, Rhonda G. (Scott) Craig and Brian W. (Chalese) Bash; and four great-grandchildren, Morgan W. Webb, Margo H. Craig and Eli W. and Ava O. Bash. Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, is her former daughter-in-law, Debbie Bash. Friends will be received from noon to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 31, with Pastor Linda Mankey officiating. She was born February 28, 1954, in Elkins, W.Va., a daughter of the late Joseph and Rhonda Finlen Duckworth. Mrs. Bash-Ford was a 1972 graduate of Trinity High School. She and her husband, Denny, owned and operated Denny Ford Auto Service for many years, until their retirement in 2011. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed mowing grass, gardening and caring for other people. On February 2, 2012, in North Carolina, she married Denny Ford, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Brian W. (Chalese) Bash of Washington; a daughter, Rhonda (Scott) Craig of North Strabane Township; a stepson, Scott Ford of Washington; six brothers, Keith (Alba) Duckworth of Freedom, Kenny (Sue) Duckworth of Canonsburg, Mark (Donna) Finlen of Greensboro, N.C., Dominic (JoAnn) Waters, Bob (Becky) Waters and Matt (Lisa) Waters, all of Washington; three sisters, Susan Ealy of Washington, Elaine "Lanie" Waters of Monroeville and Joann (Bob) Howanec of Canonsburg; four grandchildren, Morgan Webb, Margo Craig and Eli and Ava Bash; her second mother, Elaine Duckworth of Houston; her first husband, Mark W. Bash; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Deceased is a brother-in-law, Cecil "Ed" Ealy.
