She was born in Martin County, Indiana on January 22, 1927 to the late James E. and Rebecca Jane (Owens) Black. She married Nathan C. Gaunt and he preceded her in death in 1995. Lucille retired in 1981 from Bell Fibre Packaging, where she had worked for 29 years. She enjoyed basketball, especially the Indiana Pacers and Hoosiers. Lucille also bowled in a Bell Fibre bowling league. Survivors include her son, Gary N. Gaunt, Camden, SC; daughter, Sandra K. Bryant, Gas City; grandchildren, Chad Carroll, Summitville, Melissa Hess, Marion, and Dylan Bryant, Gas City; 12 great-grandchildren; and brother, Adrian (Becky) Black, Jonesboro. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Rebecca Black; husband, Nathan Gaunt; grandchildren, Christopher Carroll and Michael Gaunt; and siblings, Elmer Black, Bertha Collins, Sarah Warren, Marie Welton, Verdin Black, James Black, Lincoln Black, Clarence Black, Paul Black, and Nannie Lou Black.
