Red was born March 30, 1922 in Moultire, Georgia to William and Dora (Miles) McFather. Willie attended High School in Tampa Bay, Florida where he graduated. He was in the United States Navy from December 9, 1941 through 1961 where he was a Petty Officer 1st class. Red received the Good Conduct Medal & Worldwar II Medal. September 15, 1995 Mr. McFather married Mildred (Meyers) in Shelton, Washington. Red was a Lab Technician at Naval Hospital in Bremerton, Washington for 15 years upon retiring in 1976. Red was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars & Loved Cars. Survivors are Mildred, daughters Karen Darling of Port Orchard, Washington, Sharon McFather of Bremerton, Washington, 3 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.5 He was buried at Sunset Lane Memorial Park, Port Orchard, Kitsap Co., Washington.4 He was born on June 30, 1922 at Funston, Colquitt Co., Georgia.2 He married Mildred Leona Meyers, daughter of William Lafe Meyers and Ethyle Gertrude Clary, in September, 1995 at Shelton, Mason Co., Washington.1,2,5 Willie "Red" McFather died on December 17, 2000 at Kitsap Co., Washington, at age 78.3
