     James Carl Pauley III James Carl Pauley III, 69, of Letart, WV, passed away October 19, 2018, at his home following an extended illness. He was born January 2, 1949, in Cedar Grove, WV, a son of the late James C. Pauley II and Betty Jean (Samples) Pauley. He was a former coal miner, iron worker and a member of the Laborers Union Local # 543 Huntington, WV. He was a Baptist by faith and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Survivors include his wife Karen Sue (Meek) Pauley; daughter, Amy Lynn and Michael Bumgarner of Letart; son, Stanley L. Cook and Vicki of Mason, WV; brother, John Pauley of Coolville, OH; grandchildren, Makinley and Rogan Bumgarner. Burial will follow in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Letart, WV.1 He was buried at Sunrise Memorial Gardens, New Haven, Mason Co., West Virginia.1 He married Karen Sue Meek.1 James Carl Pauley III was born on January 2, 1949 at Cedar Grove, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.1 He died on October 19, 2018 at Letart, Mason Co., West Virginia, at age 69.1

He was born the son of the late Leonard Walters and Maude Marie Dooley Alls in Richmond, Virginia. He was a retired employee of Overnight Transportation in Louisville. Mr. Alls was a retired military veteran having proudly served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam War and other military conflicts. Washington, and Christopher Chad Owen (Tina) of Mt. Washington; sister Myrtie Thompson of Salem, Virginia; brother Gregory Alls (Dale) of New Castle, Virginia; grandchildren Kaitlyn B. Owen and Shelby L. Owen; and one great-grandchild Hunter M. Mellick. Visitation was July 14 and 15, 2015 at Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home with Brother Jonathon Wilkins officiating. Interment was at Valley Cemetery in Taylorsville with Military Honors. on July 15, 2015.4
