He was a member of Crossroads Christian Church, New Castle, Virginia. Dwayne graduated from New Castle High School, where he played basketball and baseball. Dwayne was preceded in death by his grandparents, H. R. and Lottie Hughes and Robert and Esterleen Crawford; uncles, J. B. Hughes, Roger Crawford, Herman Short and R. J. Caldwell. Dwayne is survived by his loving and devoted parents, Wayne and Pat Crawford of New Castle, Virginia; aunts, Anita Hughes, Geneva Short, Nora (Sissy) Caldwell and Jennifer Crawford. He is also survived by many cousins and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Clifford Nottingham, Julie Legualt and the staff of Friendship Health and Rehab 1 South and 3 Main for their loving care and compassion for Dwayne during the last 20 years. The family will receive friends at Oakey’s North Chapel from 2 to 6 PM on Sunday, December 31, 2017 and also at Crossroads Christian Church from 12:30PM to 2PM on Monday, January 1, 2018 where the funeral service will be held following the visitation at 2:00PM with Pastor Jim Morris officiating. Interment will immediately follow in the Crawford Family Cemetery at the Church.¹ He was born on February 5, 1979 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.² He died on December 28, 2017 at Virginia at age 38.¹

She was preceded in death by two half sisters, Hattie May Williams and Mollie Burchett; four sons, Clarence Neeley, Wayne Lee Neeley, Danny Joe Neeley and an infant; two brothers, Paris Hines and Otis Hines; and one half brother, Dr. Ben Hines. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, at the Day & Carter Mortuary, with Rev. Richard Tallman officiating. Burial will be in the Cresthaven Memory Gardens. on June 23, 1993.⁶

Surviving are one son, Wendell Hensley of Oolitic; four daughters, Norma Bagby, Wilma Byers and Janice Hedrick, all of Bedford, and Irene Murray of Muncie; one stepdaughter, Betty Bennett of Phoenix, AR; 12 grandchilren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 3 step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Roger Hensley; and one grandson, Robert Eugene Hensley. Funeral services are at 10:00 a.m. today, Wednesday, Dec. 20, in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Ralph Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. on December 20, 1995.⁶

Burial was at Woodward Cemetery in Jonesville. on March 1, 1988.⁶
