Whitacre, a retired farmer and sawmill operator, died at 7:15 o'clock this morning at Liberty, where he had been since Sept. 23. Mr. Whitacre resided in the Blue Mound community, 10 miles southeast of Chillicothe. Mr. Whittaker, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Whitacre, was born on July 25, 1877. On April 23, 1898 he married Armina Bell Anderson at Chillicothe. Mrs. Whittaker died on January 25, 1962. Survivors are two sons, William Whitacre, Hale, Arthur Whitacre, Redding, Calif., and two daughters, Mrs. Grace Kitter, Pomona, Calif., and Mrs. Wilford Hall, Canon City, Colo. Mr. Whitacre was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister, and his wife. Funeral arrangements, under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home, are incomplete and will be announced later. on November 12, 1964.³
