     Annie Bell "Annabell" Poff was buried at Fair View Cemetery, 3300 Melrose Ave. N.W., Roanoke, Virginia.^3,4 She was born on April 1, 1904 at Floyd Co., Virginia.^3,4 She died on July 16, 1920 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 16.^3,4,5 She Annie Belle Poff, pretty 16-year-old employe of the Viscose Silk Mills, died late yesterday afternoon, following injuries sustained when she plunged from a moving truck and was run over in front of her home at the Corner of Thirteenth Avenue and Ninth Street, S. E. Shortly before death claimed her, she smiled into the faces of her mother and sister, told them she could not live to reach a hospital, and turning to Jesse Brammer, her sweetheart, bade him farewell, while sobs shook the youth's body and the mother wept softly over the girl's wasted hand. Death ended forever a pretty romance, for Annie Belle and young Brammer were to have been married within a few days. The girl's premonition was solemnly justified, for she died in an ambulance while it hurried her to a local hospital. The conveyance bad been ordered by Dr. R. Gordon Simmons. The girl's right jaw was broken and the right side of her body severely crushed. Persons who witnessed the accident declare the girl's own act brought about the tragedy and that the driver, whose identity could not be learned last night, was not aware she intended to leap from the truck until after the accident occurred. The truck, witnesses declared, was going at a low rate of speed, and so far as known the girl had not informed the driver she wanted to be let off at her home. She was returning there from the silk mills for the evening. Miss Poff is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Poff, a brother and a small sister. The body will be taken to Floyd County for burial. A coroner's inquest will be held this morning in Oakey's morgue. on July 17, 1920.⁵

Mrs. Massey is survived by two daughters, Patricia A. deBlois (Craig), of Hickory, North Carolina, June M. Massey-Brown (Jeff), of York, Pennsylvania; a son, Wade A. Massey (Mary Kay), of Manassas, Virginia; six grandchildren, Steven C. deBlois (Misty), Erryn R. deBlois, Mary Beth Massey, Hugh F. Massey, Adam K. Brown (Shelby), and Benjamin D.      Linda Anne Giordano Linda Anne Sorge, 71, passed away on January 14th, 2021, at her home in Conroe, Texas. Linda was born on November 2nd, 1949, to John and Wilma Giordano, in New York City, NY. Linda worked for Walmart for 31 years and retired at age 65. While employed, she made numerous friends. Among them, we would like to give thanks to her longtime friend Peggy Rickman and Peggy’s family for being by her side during her illness. Linda had a saying in life: Live hard, work hard and play hard, and she did just that. She loved crocheting, playing bingo, fishing, crabbing, pitching horseshoes, going to the beach, taking cruises, and her yearly Mother’s Day weekend at the beach. Linda was a THPA member for 20 years and won numerous first-place awards, including two state championships. She is survived in death by a daughter, Donna Massey and husband Chuc, Dennis Poff and wife Paula; son John Sorge and Chasity Andrews; grandchildren, Bryan Horton and Nichole Appling, Michelle Massey LeBoeuf, Cory and Brianna Poff, Johnny and Kaitlyn Sorge, great-grandchildren, Jaycie Horton, Nash LeBouef, Kaylee LeBoeuf, Maci LeBoeuf, Parker Poff and Cole Simms.³ She was born on November 23, 1949 at New York, New York.^2,3 As of 1966,her married name was Poff.¹ She married Dennis Edward Poff, son of William Dennis Poff and Mary Catherine Hayes, in 1966 at Manhattan, New York Co., New York.¹ Linda Anne Giordano and Dennis Edward Poff were divorced in April, 1976 at Ocean Co., New Jersey.⁴ Linda Anne Giordano died on January 14, 2021 at Conroe, Montgomery Co., Texas, at age 71.³
