     Christine Alma Wilcher Christine Allen Wheat, 92, of Stanford, died Monday, January 20, 2003 at Harrodsburg Health Care Center. Born May 17, 1910 in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late George William and Mary Emily Leeper Wilcher. She was the widow of Albert Wheat and Charlie Allen. She was retired from Corning Glass and was a member of New Salem Baptist Church. Survivors include: five sons, Harold Allen, Earl (Peggy) Allen, and B. C. (Louvenia) Allen, all of Stanford, Johnny (Paulette) Allen and Gary (Ann) Allen, both of Danville; 17 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Allen, one brother, Frank Smith, and one sister, Pauline Kennedy. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Thursday, January 23, at the New Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Allen officiating. Burial will be in the McKinney Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Gary Allen Jr., John, Kenneth, David, Greg, Dale and Jeff Allen. Honorary bearers will be grandchildren. Spurlin Funeral Home of Stanford is in charge of arrangements.1 She was buried at McKinney Cemetery, McKinney, Lincoln Co., Kentucky.1 She and Charles Chester "Charlie" Allen were divorced.4 Christine Alma Wilcher was born on May 17, 1910 at Lincoln Co., Kentucky.1 As of July 17, 1925,her married name was Allen.1 She married Charles Chester "Charlie" Allen, son of John W. (Louvenia) Allen, Johnny (Paulette) Allen and Gary (Ann) Allen and 1 sister, Betty Tipton. Cecil was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Allen and Christine (Wilcher) Wheat and 2 brothers, Kenneth and Harold Allen.
