Mr. Merida died at the home of his sister, Brenda Grubb in Barbourville, Friday, July 18, 2008. Mr. Merida was a member of the Springfield Baptist Church. He was a construction worker. On September 4, 1965, he united in marriage to Samantha Edwards. Along with his wife, Samantha, he was preceded in death by his father, Clint Merida, a granddaughter, Jessica Ann Merida; a sister, Sharon Merida; a brother, Lonnie Merida; twin brothers, Teddy and Doyle Merida; a sister-in-law; Billie Merida; and a brother-in-law; Theo Vaughn. She was the wife of Jack Rose and the daughter of the late Clint Merida, Jr. and Samantha (Edwards) Merida born to them on April 21, 1967 in Knox Co. Tina is survived by her husband Jack, two sons, Jacob Rose and Jack Allen Rose and wife Candace and three grandchildren, Jaycee Rose, Annie Caye Rose and Rylan Rose all of Barbourville one brother, David Merida and wife Margaret of Flat Lick, three sisters, Trena Gray and husband Hairm, Donna Callihan and husband Gus all of Flat Lick and Charlene Cornett and husband David of Mackey Bend, her mother & father in law, Eugene and Dorothy Rose of Barbourville. Tina also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Funeral services for Mrs. Tina Delorse Rose will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Mike Collins and Rev. Ken Merida officiating.
