Survivors include two daughters, Norma Wilcox of Boone, and Judy Psillas and husband, George, of Spartanburg, S.C; one son, Charles "Buz" Bumgarner and wife, Donna, of Las Cruces, New Mexico; six grandchildren, Dempsey Wilcox, III and wife, Margie, and Debra Wilcox of Boone, Vicki Huffman and husband, Andy Omundson of Greenwood, S.C., Patrick Huffman of Spartanburg, S.C., Cameron Bumgarner of Arizona and Leslie Bumgarner of New Mexico; three brothers, Joe, Bob and Dennis Wolfe; and three sisters, Gwendolyn Hart, Martha Brown, and Annie Ruth Laws. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas W. Bumgarner; four sisters; Bertha Holman, Allie Eller, Elsie Brookshire, and Justine Hollender; and six brothers, Lawrence, Blaine, Ace, Delbert, Junior and Earl Wolfe. He was born July 6 1916 in Watauga County, a son of Edward Hill and Anna Ada Church Bumgarner. Mr. Bumgarner owned and operated Bills Diesel Service in Boone for 25 years. Survivors include his wife, Edna Greer Bumgarner, one daughter, three sons, four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Carolyn Carroll, one granddaughter, Vickie Carroll, one great-grandson, Michael Teague, one sister, Mary Bumgarner, four brothers, Roy Bumgarner, Walter Bumgarner, Tom Bumgarner and Cecil Bumgarner. Services will be conducted Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Harold Bennett. The family will receive friends Monday afternoon from 2-3 p.m. one hour prior to services, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mount Lawn Park and Gardens.      Margaret Rose Edna Greer Mrs. Edna Greer Bumgarner, 86, of U.S. Highway 421 North, Vilas, died Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 3, 2006, at Watauga Medical Center. She was born Oct. 29, 1919 in Watauga County to Charles and Virginia Swift Greer. Mrs. Bumgarner retired from Shadowline in 1980. She worked part time in child care at Lynn Hill Day Care and First Baptist Church for several years. She also volunteered at Samaritans Purse. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Bumgarner; a daughter, Carolyn Carroll; a granddaughter, Vickie Carroll; three sisters, Belle Hollars, Ethel Edmisten and Beulah Love; and two brothers, Clyde and Howard Greer.      Carolyn Virginia Bumgarner Carolyn Bumgarner Carroll, 46, of Boone, died Saturday at Watuaga County Hospital. She was born June 7, 1945, in Boone, a daughter of Bill and Edna Greer Bumgarner. She was the credit manager for Watauga Surgical Group and a licensed practical nurse. She was a member of Rutherwood Baptist Church, where she was active in the choir. Survivors include her husband, Johnny B. Carroll, one son, her father and mother, three brothers, and one sister. She is also survived by three nephews and one niece. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Vickie Lynn Carroll. Services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 am at Rutherwood Baptist Church. The body will lie in state from 10-11 am. Officiating will be Revs. J G Early, Chris Wilmoth and Dale Matheson.
