The couple lived on a farm in Allen County. He is deceased. She liked to read the Bible. She was a teacher and elder in the Presbyterian Church. She was a past president of the Presbyterian Women's Organization. She was active in the American Heart and American Cancer societies and was a member of the Willing Workers Club. She is survived by a daughter, Verda "Dottie" Petersen of Pomona; a daughter-in-law, Audrey Maley of Moran; 16 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; four great-great-great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces and great-nephews and nieces. Two sons, Roy Raymond Maley and Bobbie Dale Maley died earlier. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Johnson-Kunkel Mortuary in Moran. Pastor Reta Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Moran Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. on February 12, 2003.2

Hart, 55, Mounted Route, Nampa, who died at a Nampa hospital Tuesday after a short illness, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Alsip Chapel. The Rev. Clifford Huit, pastor of the Boise Bethel Chapel will officiate. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Mr. Hart was born July 3, 1911, at Geneva, Kan., and was raised in Kansas. He married Clara P. Niemeyer at LaHarpe, Kan., March 8, 1933. They farmed there until 1936, when they moved to Emmett. They lived there a short time, then came to Nampa. Shortly after coming to Nampa, they moved to Melba where they lived until 1941 when they returned to Nampa. He had been employed at the Armour and Co. Meat Packing Plant (formerly King's Packing Co.) since 1941 as a meat smoker. He was the secretary of the Nampa Trade and Labor Council for the past 10 years, and was serving as president of the Amalgamated Meat Cutters and Butchers Workmen, Local No. 38, of North America. He was also a member of the Colfax Baptist Church in Kansas. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Eva Langrell, Bartlett, Ill; a sister, Mrs. Lola Mae Wiles, Chanute, Kan; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Hart, also of Chanute, and two grandsons and two nieces. on July 7, 1966.4

Wiles, 96, Iola, KS, died Thursday, October 11, 2007, at Heritage Healthcare in Chanute, Kansas. He was born Feb. 2, 1911, in Wichita, Kansas, to William F. and Jennie N. (Birmingham) Wiles. His family moved to Chanute, KS, when he was a year old and he graduated from Chanute High School. He married Lola Mae Hart in 1933. She preceded him in death in 1974. He married Goldie (Mullins) Rose on Feb. 14, 1976. She preceded him in death on Aug. 2, 2007. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include two daughters, Carol Springfield, Cary, NC, and Cheryl Hurlbert, Chanute, KS; a stepson, Marvin Rose, Iola, KS; a stepdaughter, Sharon Bruner, Neosho Falls, KS; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Graveside services will be at Neosho County Memorial Park Cemetery (Greenlawn), Chanute, Kansas, under the direction of Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapels, Iola, KS. on October 12, 2007.2
