He was a classic car enthusiast. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sandra E. Winter; daughters, Dawn Winter-Ware and Doretta Winter; granddaughter, Scarlett Ware; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Doretta and Bruce Switzer; special nephew, Clinton Switzer Jr; cousins, Lottie Crowder (Clyde), Bernard Lemon (Ruby), Reginald Lemon (Margie), Nona King (Pete), Jimmy Spangler, and Jimmy Norwood; and numerous cousins in Maryland. A Graveside Service will be conducted at Evergreen Burial Park. on March 9, 2021.2

She served as an elementary school teacher for 26 years in the Giles County Public School system and was also a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Narrows, serving as church treasurer for 27 years, an Adult Sunday School class teacher, and a Womens Missionary Union member for many years. She also served as President of the Giles Education Associations Credit Union and a former member of the Narrows Junior Womans Club. Nancy loved camping and was an avid bridge player who had accumulated over 100 master points. Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, George E. Lloyd and wife, Lisa, of Roanoke, and Dale A. Lloyd and wife, Lisa, of Narrows; two grandchildren, Allison Lloyd and Jonathan Lloyd; a brother, Bernard Boens and wife, Lee, of Shawsville; two sisters, Linda Clevinger and husband, Norman, of Decatur, Ala., and Eleanor Boens and husband, Greg Rose, of Richmond; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends and caregivers. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. on March 28, 2011.5

Tom was also a very loyal Narrows Green Wave fan. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Nancy Boens Lloyd; two sons, George E. Lloyd and wife, Lisa, of Roanoke, and Dale A. Lloyd and wife, Lisa, of Narrows; two grandchildren, Allison Lloyd and Jonathan Lloyd; a brother, G. David Lloyd and wife, Donna, of Narrows; a sister, Suzanne Sayers, of Montana; a sister-inlaw, Sylvia Lloyd, of Radford; several special nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of very special friends. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, in Narrows. on March 28, 2009.5

Edward enjoyed hunting, fishing and tending the small family farm in Shawsville, Va. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Harriett Lee Faulkerson Boens of Crystal River, Fla; two stepsons, Tracy Lovern and Lawrence Wilmer III; a granddaughter, Jessica Cruz and a grandson, Cody S. Lovern; two sisters, Linda Clevenger and husband, Norman of Decatur, Ala. and Eleanor Rose and husband, Greg Rose of Blacksburg, Va. as well as three nephews. Burial will follow at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla. with full military honors. on October 18, 2020.2
