Mrs. Gregg, who had been in failing health in recent months, entered a hospital here June 9 for observation and treatment. She had shown some improvement and friends and relatives were hopeful that she would continue to gain. She was stricken suddenly early yesterday afternoon and died within a few minutes. Mrs. Gregg was born in Santa Rosa, a daughter of the late James W. Gray. She was a sister of Lillian Gray, Mrs. Angie Downs and George Gray, who survive her. Her husband, Nelson Gregg, died many years ago. The body was removed to the Welti funeral parlors, where funeral arrangements are pending. Since her retirement from teaching Mrs. Gregg had made her home with her sister in College avenue here. on July 23, 1946.4

"Frankie" Laughlin and Edith Thelma Unknown, on March 13, 1951.1,2 Ivy Jean Mason died on January 16, 2014 at Kansas at age 82.2,3 She Ivy Jean Laughlin, 82 of Oak Grove, passed into the arms of Jesus on January 16, 2014. Born March 29, 1931 in Sutton, England. Jean was an active member of the Thimble Club and English Club. She is survived by her husband of 63 yrs., Vernon Laughlin; children, Linda Greene (Tim) of Oak Grove, MO, Sharon Edie (Tom) of Sydney, AR, Julie Curry (Richard) of Grain Valley, MO and Diane Denton (Kenny) of Oak Grove, MO; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; brother Jack Mason of Norfolk, England. Funeral services will be 1 pm Saturday, January 25, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Grain Valley, 207 W. Walnut, Grain Valley, MO where she was an active member. Visitation at 12pm at the church. She will be laid to rest in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Stanley, KS. on January 19, 2014.2
