She is survived by one daughter, Deborah (Michael) Keesee, Ransom, one son, Forrest “Ray” (Laura) Paxton Jr., Clinton, eight grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Elaine Thorn, one grandson, Joshua “Ray” Paxton , two sisters, Irene Daughety and Rosa Wright. Pallbearers will be Dave Slusarski, Jerry Diss, Reid Nettlingham, Bill Wiess, Chad Burns and Mark Stull. She worked at Raphael's Restaurant on State Fair Boulevard, where she had worked in the kitchen for about 10 years. Mrs. Thorn was struck by a van as she was walking home from work Thursday. She was a past officer of the Lakeland PTA and also held office in the Lakeland-Lakeside Little League. Surviving are a husband, Paul; three sons, Paul Jr. of Liverpool and David and Jonathan of Lakeland; a daughter, Cassandra Ternosky of Solvay; her parents, Raymond and Erma Paxton of Ransom, Ill; a sister, Debbie Keesee of Ransom; a brother, Ray Paxton Jr. of Clinton, Ill; her paternal grandmother, Macel Hull of Charleston, W.V; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. The burial was private. Contributions may be made to the Solvay High School SADD chapter. on October 27, 1996.4

Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Myers Funeral Home, Elkview, with the Rev. Warren Statts officiating. Burial will be in Statts Cemetery, Gabe Creek Road, Clendenin. Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. on March 23, 1990.2
