Dorothy is survived by her son, Robert C. Fest III and his wife, Kay of Dillsburg; her step-daughter, Joanne E. Ivey and her husband, Doyle of Dillsburg; one sister, Opal McPeak of Christiansburg, VA. She also leaves behind two granddaughters, Ryan Fest of Mechanicsburg and Anne Fest of Enola; three step granddaughters, Susan Reday of Dillsburg, Patti Ivey of Lambertville, NJ, and Lauren Dion of Springfield, MA; four step great grandchildren, Leah, Sara, Elizabeth and Andrew. She was also predeceased by her sister, Reba Simmons of Floyd, VA. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be held in the Dillsburg Cemetery-Mountain Road. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pinnacle Health Hospice, 3705 Elmwood Drive, Harrisburg, PA 17110 or Messiah Village, 100 Mt. Allen Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055. Dorothy will be dearly missed by her family and friends. In loving memory, we say farewell, to a beloved mother, grandmother and friend. She was also a long-time, active member of the Beaver Creek Homemakers Club. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, L.T. Jr. and Cheryll Simmons, Christiansburg; two sisters, Dorothy Fest, Pennsylvania, and Opal McPeak, Christiansburg. Funeral service was conducted at noon on Tuesday, June 7, at Gardner Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Donna Sharp and the Reverend Stan Thompson officiating. Interment followed at Hickman Cemetery in Pulaski County. Donations may be made to the Floyd County Volunteer Fire Department and The Floyd County Rescue Squad in memory of Mrs. Simmons. on June 9, 2005.1

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. till time of services at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Bramley Funeral Home, Auburn with Rev. Harold Woodworth officiating. Burial will be in Chatham Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Chatham Fire and Emergency Department. on April 20, 2011.3

Surviving are his wife, Joan; one son, Allan (Joan) Rakes of Chatham; two grandchildren, Natosha and Joshua; two great-grandchildren. Olivia Drabing and Koltyn Rakes; one sister, Betty Prill of Virden; one brother, Grover Rakes of Waverly; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 3 till 5 pm, Sunday, November 7, 2010 at Bramley Funeral Home, Auburn. Services will be held at 10 am on Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Richard Ahlgrim officiating. Burial in East Cemetery, Waverly. Memorials may be made to St. John's Hospice or Gideon's International. on November 5, 2010.3
