Redmon, 68, retired owner and operator of Redmon Implement Co., died yeaterday in a local hospital. Mr. Redmon, who lived on Cold Harbor Road, Mechanicsville, operated the farm implement dealership at 1910 E. Franklin St. for 25 years. He retired and sold the business in 1970. He was a founder and charter member of Mechanicsville Presbyterian Church. He als was a member of the Hanover Ruritan Club, Masonic Lodge 344, AF&AM, Greenwood Golf Club and Indian Creek Club. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lucille L. Redmon; a son, Elliott E. Redmon Jr. of Hartfield; three daughters, Mrs. Nancy Coen, Mrs. Norma Oppenheimer, both of Richmond, and Mrs. Patricia Marshall of Urbanna; a brother, Arthur I. Redmon of Richmond; a sister, Mrs. Ora Lucas of Staunton; 16 grandchildren, and one great-grandson. A funeral service will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Mechanicsville Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Signal Hill Memorial Park. on May 9, 1977.2

She taught school at Princeton, W.Va., and Stonewall Jackson Primary School at Staunton. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Soroity and the Country Gardners Garden Club. She was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the choir. Surviving are a brother, Arthur I. Redmon of Richmond; and several nieces and nephews. A service will be conducted at 11 this morning at Bethel Presbyterian Church by the Revs. Roy W. Howard and Clifford D. Caldwell, with burial in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Arthur Redmon Jr., Guy D. Brooks, Dale Smith, W. hampton Haislip, Edwin Summy, Otho and Chester Riley and H.      Elliott Edgar "Bud" Redmon Jr. married Betty Barnette.5 Elliott Edgar "Bud" Redmon Jr. was born on June 1, 1937 at Mechanicsville, Hanover Co., Virginia.6,4 He married Lucille Unknown circa 1984.4 Elliott Edgar "Bud" Redmon Jr. died on October 21, 2008 at Virginia at age 71.6,4 He Elliott "Bud" Edgar Jr., age 71, of Urbanna, born on June 1, 1937, passed away after a long goodbye on Tuesday, October 21, 2008. He was born and raised in Mechanicsville. After graduating from Washington Henry High School in 1955, he attended Ferrum College, where he still holds the record for the longest punt in football. In 1962, he moved to Urbanna pursuing a career in farming and later in trucking as well as marine contracting. He was a member of the Urbanna United Methodist Church, Blakey's Hunt Club, York Academy Board of Directors, and the Central Middlesex Volunteer Rescue Squad. He was an avid outdoorsman loving everything from hunting and golfing as well as diving and boating. He was known as "Ole Blue Eyes" to all and was loved by many. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elliott and Lucille Redmon Sr. (Moutie and Poppie). He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Lucille M. Redmon; and his children, Mary Katherine Beale and her husband, McKim, of Urbanna, Elliott Randolph (Randy) Redmon and his wife, Shauna, of Hartfield, Sherri Lynn Kirwin and her husband, Robert, of Midlothian, Julie Ann Redmon and her husband, Richard Haugg, of Richmond, and Jason Scott Elmer of Sarasota, Florida. He is also survived by three sisters, Nancy R. Coen and her husband, Joseph, of Richmond, Patricia R. Marshall and her husband, Richard, of Urbanna, and Norma R. Richmond of Richmond. His grandchildren include Louis A. Palumbo, Courtney V. Beale, Marika N. Beale, Kaitlyn S. Kirwin, Kendall P. Kirwin, Elliott R. Redmon II, Thomas E. Redmon, and John David E. Milby. There are also numerous nieces and nephews. Two others who were considered family include Alan T. Sutherlin and Dorothy G. Trevilian. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2008 at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Saluda. Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2008, at the Urbanna United Methodist Church, Urbanna. Interment private. Contributions may be made to The Memorial Garden Fund, c/o Urbanna United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 217, Urbanna, Va. 23175. on October 23, 2008.4

She was a third-grade teacher at Battlefield Park Elementary School for 25 years, retiring in 1993. She was an active member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Richmond. She was past president of the North Chamberlayne Civic Association, past president of the Hanover Teachers Association, past president of Gamma Alpha Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, and a member of the Hanover Retired Teachers Association and the Exchangettes of the Exchange Club of Richmond. She loved to entertain. She enjoyed playing bridge and gardening. She had a lifelong love of Hanover County. In addition to her husband, she is also survived by four children, Jackie and husband, Mike Webb, of Rivesville, W.Va., Hudson West Jr., of Deltaville, Va., John and wife, Emily West, of Sharpsville, Ind., and Carol Sacra, of Mechanicsville; two stepsons, Pete and wife, Chris Coen, of Richmond, and Tom Coen, of Fredericksburg; three grandchildren, Paul West, Jane West and Stefanie Webb; one step-grandson, Toby Coen; two sisters, Pat Marshall and Norma Richmond; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Ryan Hudson West; and a brother, Elliott “Bud” Redmon. Funeral services were Tuesday, at Bennett Funeral Home, Mechanicsville. Pastor Davis Yeuell will offi ciate. Interment will be at Signal Hill Cemetery. Visitation was held Monday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church, Richmond, VA 23227. on October 12, 2009.4
