He was a charter member of the Fort Lewis Volunteer Fire Department and served with them for over 30 years. He was also a member of the Masonic Taylor Lodge #23. His surviving family includes his wife of 51 years, Wanda Burton Duncan, of Salem, Va; children, Ronald Edward Duncan and wife, Debbie, of Salem, Va., and Carol Duncan Esau and husband, Bob, of Pittsboro, N.C; grandchildren, Ryanne and Paige Duncan, of Salem, Va; a brother, James T. Duncan and wife, Avalea; a sister, Geneva Blosser and husband, Warren; brothers-in-law, Tom and wife, Edith, and A.D. Burton Jr; sisters-in-law, Georgia Burton, Eileen Dunavant, and Mabel French; and a number of nieces and nephews. Interment will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Roanoke, Va. on April 23, 2009.⁴

KELLEY, 70, a homemaker who also served as the assistant to the president of the Missouri Pacific/Denver and Rio Grande Railroad, died Nov. 1, 1993, at a local hospital. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at Shrine of Remembrance "America The Beautiful" Chapel of Roses, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., with the Rev. Harold Shoemaker officiating. Inurnment will be at Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum. Mrs. Kelley was born Aug. 11, 1923, in Pueblo County to George and Olen (Dean) Terwilliger. Her mother survives and lives in Colorado Springs. She was married Aug. 25, 1945, in Pueblo to Rush T. Kelley, who survives. She also is survived by a son, Gregory G. of Colorado Springs; a daughter, Donna Linda of Colorado Springs; a sister, Betty Knipp of Colorado Springs; and two grandchildren. Mrs. Kelley had lived in Colorado Springs since 1954 and was a member of First United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 619 N. Nevada Ave., Colorado Springs 80903. on November 3, 1993.¹

     Charles Harry Swanson Jr. was buried at Litchfield Cemetery, Litchfield, Sherman Co., Nebraska.¹ His Social Security Number was 508-09-1462.² He was born on June 16, 1901 at Nebraska.^1,2 He married Bertha S.
