     Lucille Virginia Doss was buried at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, Prince George, Prince George Co., Virginia.1,3 Her married name was Roberts.1 She married Frank Roberts.1 Lucille Virginia Doss was born on September 24, 1919 at Appomattox Co., Virginia.1,4,2 As of February 20, 1937,her married name was Dearing.2 She married Robert Scott Dearing Sr., son of Clarence Scott Dearing and Blanche Thomas Gowen, on February 20, 1937 at Charlottesville, Virginia.1,2 Lucille Virginia Doss and Robert Scott Dearing Sr. were divorced on September 15, 1952 at Lynchburg, Virginia.5 Lucille Virginia Doss died on February 19, 2004 at Colonial Heights, Virginia, at age 84.1,4 She Lucille D. Roberts died Thursday, Feb. 19, 2004, following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s at the Colonial Heights Health Care Center. She was born Sept. 24, 1919, the daughter of the late Harry Leonard and Hattie Eliza Doss of Lynchburg, formerly of Appomattox. She was a member of Monumental Baptist church in Petersburg. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Scott Dearing of Lynchburg and her second husband, Frank Roberts of Petersburg; a daughter, Barbara Lee Bowles, and a grandson, Mark Elwood Bowles, both of Toano; two sisters, Elizabeth D. Rose of Richmond and Florine D. Panian of Evington; and a brother, Harry L. Doss Jr. of Colonial Heights. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Robert Scott Jr. and Sally Dearing; a granddaughter and husband, Deborah D. and Johnny McCoy; a great-granddaughter, Laura Amber Wynne and a great-grandson, Kyle Aaron Wynne, all of Virginia Beach; a grandson and wife, Robert Scott III and Rhonda Dearing; a great-grandson, Brian Scott Dearing, and a great-granddaughter, Medilyn Sue Dearing, all of Herculaneum, Mo; a sister and brother-in-law, Pauline D. and Richard J. Lindsey, and a sister-in-law, Bettie R. Doss, all of Colonial Heights; six cousins including two very dear cousins, Violet Banton of Madison Heights and James A. Freeman of Lynchburg; a very special couple, Jimmy and Hunter Hamill of Petersburg; and a dear friend, Ellen Andrews of Colonial Heights. Graveside services will be at Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, with the Rev. Ray Cutchin officiating. on February 23, 2004.1
