     Kenneth Leon Gray Mr. Kenneth Leon Gray, 66, of 282 Gray Lane, Cana, VA, passed away Monday morning, January 7, 2013, at his home. Mr. Gray was born November 1, 1946, in Carroll County, VA, one of ten children born to the late Lawrence and Una Ethel Smith Gray. Leon was a heavy equipment operator for many years. He is survived by his spouse, Ginger Lauree Hiatt; four sons, Kenneth Dane Gray, Christopher Kirk Gray, Jamie Lee Gray, and Jonathan Mason Gray; two stepdaughters, Susan Annette Gravley and Jessica LeAnn Stone; a stepson, Justin Davis; two grandsons, Taylon Gray and Oxley Stone; three sisters, Perna Vernon, Peggy Scales, and Virginia Simicich; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Glen and Oma Gray, Don and Paula Gray, and Gary and Elaine Gray; and several beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Gray was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma Pittman; and two brothers, Lindon Gray and J.P. "Pete" Gray. The funeral service will be held Thursday, January 10, 2013, at 11:00 AM at Saint Paul Church of the Brethren, with the Rev. Vassie Vaught officiating. Burial will follow in the Gray Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at Saint Paul Church of the Brethren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Paul Church of the Brethren, P.O. Box 429, Cana, VA 24317.
