She was born May 4, 1939, in Franklin County to the late Alfred Green and Ethel Prillaman Hollandsworth. Mrs. Wilson was a member of North Point Baptist Church and was employed with Womble, Carlyle Sandridge and Rice Law Firm for 24 years. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Gayle Wilson. She is survived by her husband, Herman Leon Wilson of the home; a son, Michael L. Wilson and wife Donna J. of Winston-Salem; a granddaughter, Morgan Wilson; a grandson, Lucas Wilson; a sister, Mrs. Mattie H. Robertson of Bassett, Va; and two brothers, James and Joe Hollandsworth, both of Martinsville, Va. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at North Point Baptist Church by Pastor Skip Furrow. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.      Mamie Ida Carter was buried at Henry Memorial Park, 8443 Virginia Avenue, Oak Level, Henry Co., Virginia.^2,3 She was born on March 25, 1915 at Franklin Co., Virginia.^1,4,2,3 As of December 23, 1932,her married name was Prillaman.¹ She married Henry Wilson Prillaman, son of Timothy Joshua Prillaman and Martha Maude "Mattie" Cannaday, on December 23, 1932.^1,2 Mamie Ida Carter died on August 9, 2007 at Martinsville, Virginia, at age 92.^4,2,3 She Mamie Carter Prillaman, 92, of Bassett, died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007, at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville. She was born March 25, 1915, in Franklin County to Robert Edward Carter and Lucy Mullins Carter. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry Wilson Prillaman; six sisters, Elsie Guilliams, Roxie Carter, Lessie Via, Martha Johnson and two infants; and three brothers, Harry Carter, Lindsay Carter and Grover Carter. She had worked at Lacy Manufacturing and was a member of Fort Trial Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Doris Hundley of Bassett and Joan Barnes of Martinsville; two sons, Lowell Prillaman of Bassett and Curtis Prillaman of Douglasville, Ga; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Collinsville-McKee-Stone Funeral Home, Bassett, with Dr. Joe McNeil officiating. Burial will be in Henry Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. today at the funeral home and other times at the home on Oak Level Road.
