He has seven grandchildren: Clark, Dillon, Lisa, Tanner, Brennan, Tiffany and Clint Jr. Garnet is also survived by his mother, Marjorie Sipes, three brothers, and five sisters. Garnet had 35 years of mining experience as a heavy equipment operator and mine operations supervisor. Garnet was bishop of the Bagdad ward of LDS Church. He enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing and Christmas. He was a hunter safety education instructor. He was always actively involved with helping the community in organizing blood drives, serving as a board member of the community awareness group, being a special Christmas visitor, and general services around Bagdad. He will be missed greatly especially by his family, the town of Bagdad, LDS Church and the hunting and mining community. Funeral services for Garnet will be Friday, Dec. 17, at 11 a.m., at the Bagdad ward of the LDS Church and interment will be Friday, Dec. 17, at 3:30 p.m., at Mt. View Cemetery in Prescott. on December 16, 2004.²

Survivors include a sister, Zylpha Ames of Buckeye, a niece and six nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean. on June 19, 2003.⁴
