     Martha Louise Trimmell Martha L. Baer, 93, of Indianapolis passed away February 3, 2018. She was born in Oakwood, IL on April 16, 1924, daughter of Ross and Goldie Amos Trimmell. She was a 1942 graduate of Oakwood High School. Martha and Earl Baer were married on June 10, 1946. Martha shared her giving heart by volunteering as a Pink Lady at Community Hospital East. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. Martha was also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Indianapolis where she developed many friendships through the years. She and a group of friends enjoyed walking at the Southeastway Park in nice weather, and on rainy days, they would walk at Washington Park East Mall. They also had fun times attending Beef and Boards. Martha worked as an Accountant with Indiana Insurance Company for several years before retiring in 1977. In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Baer in 2012. Survivors include daughters, Linda Collins of Bradenton, FL and Jackie Reeck of Indianapolis; grandson, Joe Collins of Indianapolis. Services are private.4 She was born on April 16, 1924 at Oakwood, Vermilion Co., Illinois.4 As of June 10, 1946,her married name was Baer.2 She married Earl Francis Baer on June 10, 1946 at Indiana.2,4 Martha Louise Trimmell died on February 3, 2018 at Indianapolis, Marion Co., Indiana, at age 93.4

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and one sister in infancy; one brother, Bob Unverferth; and a son-in-law, John E. Heyen, who was killed in the Vietnam War. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, serving in Korea. He was a member of Dean Avenue Christian Church for more than 30 years and was currently a member of Eastside Church of Christ. He also was a member of El Shaddai Community, participated in the Emmaeus Walk Number 70, and was a member of American Association of Retired Persons. Services are 1 p.m. Monday in Eastside Church of Christ, with Abe Miller officiating. Burial is in Calvary Cemetery, with graveside military rites by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 972. Visitation is 11 a.m. until services Monday in the church. The family suggests, for those who desire, memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Wabash Valley. Callahan Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Ave., assisted with arrangements. on September 14, 2004.1
