     Elmer "Darrell" Persianni was buried at Persianni Family Cemetery, Crumpler, McDowell Co., West Virginia.3 His Social Security Number was 233-84-0666.4 He was born on May 4, 1951.3,4 He married Brenda Kay Underwood, daughter of Verman Montgomery Underwood and Charlotte Mae Pigg, circa 1971.1,2,3 Elmer "Darrell" Persianni died on February 6, 2007 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia, at age 55.3,4 He NORTHFORK — Elmer “Darrell” Persianni, 55, of Box 872, Northfork (Crumpler), went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 06, 2007 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Beckley after his short battle with cancer. Born on May 04, 1951 to Zona Mullins Persianni of North Carolina and the late Elmer “Grin” Persianni. Mr. Persianni was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church and had been a resident of Crumpler most of his life. He loved to ride his four-wheeler and spend time with his grandchildren. He served his country with the United States Marine Corps from 1969 to 1971. Darrell was employed by the Carlton Scale Corp as a Scale Tech. Survivors include: Mother: Zona Mullins Persianni of Reidsville, N.C; wife of 36 years: Brenda Underwood Persianni of Crumpler; two sons: Brian Persianni and wife Kristie of Bethel, N.C., Chris Persianni and wife Amy of Grifton, N.C; one daughter: Belinda Dent and husband Mark of Greenville, S.C; special adopted daughter: Angela Stancil and son Noah of Garner, N.C; two brothers: Farrell Persianni of Crumpler, Jesse Persianni of Reidsville, N.C; three grandchildren: Megan, Austin and Thalia Persianni; three step-grandchildren: Naomi, Joel and Caytlin Anderson. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with the Elders Brice Phillips and John Caves officiating the service. Burial will follow at the Persianni Family Cemetery in Crumpler. Friends and family may call at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home on Friday (today), Feb. 09, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Serving as pallbearers will be John Caves, Steve Covell, Steve Matheson, Dale Sizemore, Greg Sizemore and James Sleed. The West Virginia National Guard Honor Group will conduct Military Graveside rites. The Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Persianni family. on February 9, 2007.3

     His Social Security Number was 233-48-9853.5 Roosevelt Cloyd Hawks was born on November 18, 1932 at Montcalm, Mercer Co., West Virginia.1,5,2 He married Norma Jean Pigg, daughter of Lonnie Lonzoe Pigg Sr. and Carlie Phlegar, on November 24, 1951 at Montcalm, Mercer Co., West Virginia.1,6,7,8 Roosevelt Cloyd Hawks died on August 28, 2001 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 68.5,3,4 He HAWKS, Roosevelt Cloyd, (R.C.), of Roanoke, and formerly of Elliston, born November 18, 1932, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2001, at home. Mr. Hawks was retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad with 43 years of service, and a member of Maranatha Baptist Church. He is survived by his mother, Effie Hawks; his wife of 50 years, Norma "Jean" Hawks; one son, Robert "Bobby" Hawks; daughters, Connie Dunbar, Cheryl Cobb and son-in-law, Hugh Cobb. Also surviving are three grandchildren, and two very special little girls. Memorial services will be conducted Thursday, August 30, 2001, at 11 a.m. in John M. Oakey & Son Salem Funeral Home, with the Rev. Carl Basham officiating. on August 29, 2001.4
