The funeral was held Monday morning from his late home in Kennard, conducted by Rev. Mitchell, of Mohawk, Ind., Deceased was a member of the Odd Fellows at Kennard and the Red Men's Lodge, of this city. The lodge had charge of the burial, which occurred here about 11 o'clock. on June 10, 1921.2

Following funeral rites at Mr. Madisons home at the state institution, burial was made in the Knightstown cemetery with Masonic lodge in charge. on December 21, 1937.4

Survivors include a son Michael (wife Sue) Smith of New Castle, daughters Deanna (husband Mike) Williams of Mercer Island, WA, Jeanitta Smith of Lexington, KY; 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Also several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul of 62 years. Her parents, 1 daughter Patty Douglas, and 2 brothers Robert and Donald Wyatt. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday May 31, 2017 at Green Hills Memory Gardens. on May 31, 2017.4

Surviving: grandchildren, Kelly Briggs of Sumpter, S.C., Patrick Nichols of Atlanta, Ga., Shane Nichols of Sumpter, S.C., and Kathy Nichols of Sumpter, S.C; and several great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill. Committal service will follow on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Tyree Funeral Home, with Rev. Entombment, with Masonic rites by Lodge 120 and military rites by VFW Post 3110, Oak Hill, will be in High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Oak Hill. on January 30, 1997.8
