     John William Carter and Deborah Jean Pendleton were divorced.1 John William Carter was buried at Pigg River Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Swenfield Road, Franklin Co., Virginia.3,4 He John William Carter, age 68 of Rocky Mount left his earthly home Monday, March 14, 2022. He was born December 11, 1953 and was preceded in death by his parents, Elder William Peter Lane and Thelma Guilliams Carter; and his sister, Barbara Jean Weaver. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Katherine Carter of the home; his sons, Douglas Leonard of Jacksonville, NC and William Carter of the home; brothers, David Lane and Donna Carter of Callaway, Lonnie E. and Andrea Daniels of Fincastle; special nieces, Jamie Stump (Jeff), Renee Morgan (John), and Elizabeth Whitney Sigmon (Kevin). He also enjoyed spending time with his aunts and cousins and had many wonderful relationships with his clients throughout the years. John was self-employed and lived life his way always helping someone along his journey. He will be missed by all that knew him, especially his family. A graveside service will be held at Pigg River Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.3 He was born on December 11, 1953 at Franklin Co., Virginia.1,2,3 He married Deborah Jean Pendleton, daughter of John Wilton Pendleton and Hazel Elizabeth Sink, on August 10, 1974 at Franklin Co., Virginia.1 John William Carter died on March 14, 2022 at Virginia at age 68.3
