He attended the River of Life Church. He was preceded in death by his father Peyton T. Reece, his maternal and paternal grandparents. Survivors include his children, Lyndsay Nicole Reece and David Lucas "Luke" Reece both of Radford; his mother, Doris S. Reece, Radford; brother, Richard Eugene Reece and Joy, Salt Springs, Fla; two aunts, June Nester, Collierville, Tenn. And Mary Bob Spangler, Dublin; and nephew, Richard Dustin Reece, Savannah, Ga. Other survivors include the mother of his children, Tammy Bell, longtime friend, Karen Donahue; numerous cousins; special co-workers, Cody and Tena Arnold and Larry Yates; also left behind is his faithful dog, Boz.5 His Social Security Number was 228-88-0063.7 He was born on April 3, 1959 at Richmond, Virginia.1,7,2,4,5 He married Tammy Sue Bell, daughter of Benjamin Henry "Ben" Bell and Connie Sue Burgess, on June 18, 1983 at Radford, Virginia.1 Carl David Reece and Tammy Sue Bell were divorced on April 15, 1993 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.2 Carl David Reece died on July 20, 2013 at Pulaski Co., Virginia, at age 54.7,3,5

He was a wonderful husband, grandfather, brother, father, and friend to all and will be missed. Predeceased by mother and father Roy and Myrtle Bain; brothers Noah, Forest and Bobby Bain; sisters, Loraine brother-in-law, Emmett Ratcliff. Survived by wife, Joyce Hokins Bain and his precious dog Sandy; sons, Grover Lee Bain, Jr., James Michael Mabry; daughters, Donna K. Sparks, Brenda Cox, Barbara Gilmer, Deborah Garner; son-in-laws, Samuel Cox, Roger Gilmer, James Garner; daughter-in-law, Kathy Mabry; sister, Opal Lawrence; brother, LeRoy Bain, Jr; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Raymond Lawrence, Ruth Bain, Mary Laxton and Dean Bain; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; multiple nieces and nephews. Interment will follow in Pentecostal Holiness Conference Headquarters Cemetery Dublin. on September 17, 2007.5
