Carol had a special love for cats and never met a cat that didn’t steal a piece of her heart. She loved nature and being outdoors. Carol enjoyed spending time tending to her flower gardens, bird watching, walking along the beach, picking up shells, and was intrigued by beautiful gemstones. She had so much pride in her job as a forklift operator and loved her coworkers at Elizabeth Arden. Carol proudly retired after 40 years of service. She was preceded in death by her dear father, Henry Blankenship; mother, Ollie Simms; and younger brother, Dan Blankenship. Carol is lovingly remembered by her brother, Johnny (Sue) Blankenship; beloved sons, Johnny (Jan) Bell and Marshall Coleman; grandchildren, Danielle (George) Cundiff, Michael (Julie) Bell, Shelby (Kevin) Cook, Elizabeth (Robert) Woolwine, Jordan (Simone) Stone, and Mallory (Bradley) Taylor; great-grandchildren, Declyn and Michael Leftwich, Miranda Bryant, Tyler Cundiff, Aurora Cook, Makayla Ring, Robin Haburn, Wyatt Stone, Charlie, and Stella Taylor; and several special nieces and nephews.
