There had been fiery four-truck pileup, and officials feared that Tyree's son, Michael E. Tyree, was the accident's lone fatality. "I was ready to turn around and go back, but they said go on home," Tyree said. "We faxed them the dental records." When he got home, it was in time to watch the 1 p.m. news on Chicago station WGN. "I knew it when I saw it on TV," Tyree said. "I know my son's truck, and they were taking him away in a body bag." The younger Tyree, 27, of Loarain, died shortly after 5 a.m. Wednesday. He was a 1985 graduate of Elyria High School. Mr. Tyree began driving for TL Enterprises of Warrensville Heights about three weeks ago. Their schedules offered him more time to spend with his children from an earlier marriage. His father also drives for TL. Mr. Tyree worked for one year for the Jefferson Truck Line, and for four years with his father at Jonick Trucking. Mr. Tyree enjoyed playing the drums "and chasing after his kids," his father said. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Lorain. In addition to his father, Mr. Tyree is survived by his mother, Wanda; son, Anthony, 6; daughters, Misty, 5, and Destiny Nicole, 2; fiancee, Linda Domenick of Chicago; grandfather, Alfred F. Tyree Sr. of Kings, N.C; and three brothers. Tyree said his son's friends had arraigned to take his son's casket to the funeral on a flatbed truck. on May 13, 1994.³
