She enjoyed going to yard sales, going out to breakfast with friends and/or family, and shopping. She enjoyed helping to raise her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Everyone was one of her BABIES. She was known as Mom or Mommom to everyone she met. She was the mortar that held our lives and families together. She was the sincerest and giving person I will ever know. “You may think your light is small, but it can make a huge difference in other people’s lives.” This was my mother. She was that light. Stella was proceeded in death by her parents Rosco and Clyde Taylor from NC. Husband Darrell Lephew. Brothers Darrell Taylor and Earl Taylor. Sister Doris Miller and son James Lephew Sr. She is survived by son Harold Lephew (Judy), daughter Sheila Garrison (Robert Sr), and daughter in law Janet. Sisters Mary Miller, Linda Weaver (Carlos) and sister-in-law Sandy Taylor. 9 Grandchildren; Robert Garrison Jr, Jessica Lephew, Richard Garrison (Christine), Steven Miller (Laurie), Jon Miller, Joanna Bowers (Colin), Michael Lephew (Janet), James Lephew Jr, and Patrick Garrison (Jen). As well as 10 great grandchildren.¹ She was born on August 25, 1937.^1,3 As of July 7, 1956,her married name was Lephew.⁴ She married Darrell Aubra Lephew, son of Otho James Lephew and Esther Mabel Barr, on July 7, 1956 at Ashe Co., North Carolina.^1,4,2 Stella Mae Taylor died on August 26, 2023 at Pennsylvania at age 86.¹

He was the husband of Janet Masten Lephew, with whom he shared 26 years of marriage. Born in West Grove, PA, he was the son of Stella Mae Taylor Lephew of Landenberg, PA and the late Darrell Lephew. He was a mechanic at Kennetex in Kennett Square, PA, retiring in 2015 after 18 years of service. He enjoyed pet sitting, being with his dogs and cats, playing horseshoes, deer hunting and being with his family. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by three sons, Steven Miller and his wife Laurie of West Grove, PA, Jonathon Miller of Avondale, PA and James Lephew, Jr. of Avondale, PA; one brother, Harold Lephew and his wife Judy of Oxford, PA; one sister Sheila Garrison and her husband Robert of Landenberg, PA and four grandchildren, Alexis, Briana, Christopher and Josie.
