Ray was employed as a foreman for Virginia Sprinkler Systems for 32 years. Member of Blue Goose Sportsmans Club and Twin Rocks VFW.      James Lee King James Lee "Jim" King, May 25, 1941 - February 17, 2015. James Lee “Jim” King of Leesburg, Florida passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at the age of 73 years. He was born in Bassett, Virginia. Jim served eight years in the US Coast Guard. He worked as a dispatcher in the trucking industry for over 30 years until his retirement. He and his wife, Carol, moved to central Florida in 2004 from Virginia. In 2010 they relocated to Kentucky only to return to Leesburg in March 2013. Jim loved to fish. He enjoyed playing shuffle board and pool. Jim also enjoyed working in the yard and did so whenever he could. He looked forward to going out with friends to enjoy a good meal and playing board games on Friday night. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Theresa Mae Carter in 2011. He is remembered and will be dearly missed by his wife of 38 years, Carol; son, Tim King of Clarksville, Tennessee; daughter, Debbie Waldron of Roanoke, Virginia; sisters, Doris King of Richmond, Virginia and Hilda Ratford of Bent Mountain, Virginia; grandchildren, Jeanette, Chrissy, Maggie, Zach and Nick and 9 great grandchildren.³ He was born on May 25, 1941 at Bassett, Henry Co., Virginia.^2,3 He married Carol Ann Suttles circa 1977.³ James Lee King died on February 17, 2015 at Leesburg, Lake Co., Florida, at age 73.³

     Hilda Jane King Hilda Jane King Radford, 75, of Bent Mountain, earned her Angel Wings on Monday, April 12, 2021. She passed away peacefully with her daughter and grandsons by her side. She was born on July 4, 1945. Daughter of the late Fred King Radford King. She was preceded in death by her son, David Radford; brothers, Billy King, Clifton King, James King and his wife Carol King, and her sister, Doris Marie King, and Eddie Poor. She is survived by her daughters, Rosa Marie Radford-Richards, Julie Radford Patrick Pitts (James Jr). Beloved Grandmother of Kenneth Logan Patrick, Devin Patrick, Aydin Pitts, and James Pitts III; many cousins, extended family, and friends. Interment will follow at Rest Vale Cemetery, Copper Hill.³ She was buried at Restvale Cemetery, 7529 Rt. 221, Check, Floyd Co., Virginia.³ She was born on July 4, 1945 at Roanoke, Virginia.^2,3,4,5 As of June 12, 1965,her married name was Radford.² She married William Henry Radford on June 12, 1965 at Floyd Co., Virginia.^1,2 Hilda Jane King and William Henry Radford were divorced on July 13, 1979 at Roanoke, Virginia.⁴ Hilda Jane King died on April 12, 2021 at Virginia at age 75.³

     David Wayne Radford David Wayne Radford, 52 from Bent Mountain, passed away peacefully on Sunday February 28, 2021, with his sister and brother-in-law by his side at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. David was Born February 1,1969 in Roanoke Va., the son of William Radford and Hilda King Radford. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator for Joe Bandy & Son Inc. for over 18 years. He graduated from Cave Spring High School. He loved riding his motorcycle, racing, hunting, fishing, playing pool and kayaking with his friends David, Kevin, Greg, Gray, Tj, and Timmy just to name a few of the many friends he had and made over the years. He also liked playing his guitar, singing, and dancing and had a love for Bluegrass, country, and rock music. He also loved raising honeybees like his dad. David was known by many as Radford, Getter Done Dave, Redneck # 1, Roy, Cuz & Sparkle. His Father/best friend called him Dove, then he became “The Duck.” He was a son, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle and friend. He was loved so much and will surely be missed by us and so, so many. David is survived by his father, William H Radford, mother Hilda King Radford; sisters, Marie Radford-Richards and Julie Patrick Pitts (James); half-brother, Henry Lee Radford; step-brother, Kevin Gabbert (Tina); special nephews, Logan and Devin Patrick and Aydin and James Pitts III; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.² He was born on February 1, 1969 at Roanoke, Virginia.^2,3 He died on February 28, 2021 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 52.²

He was a graduate of Patrick Henry High School and the Manager of Kentucky Fried Chicken in Vinton. He is survived by his wife, Julie R. Patrick; son, Kenneth Logan Patrick, and an expected child, all of Bent Mountain. Also surviving are his parents, Mary and Thomas J. Patrick, Roanoke; mother-in-law, Hilda Radford, Bent Mountain; father-in-law, William H. Radford, Roanoke; maternal grandmother, Clara Kegley, Roanoke; paternal grandfather, Thomas A. Patrick, Jr., Hinton, W.Va; paternal grandmother, Ruth Kegley, Princeton, W.Va; paternal great-grandmother, Eva Patrick, Hinton, W.Va; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David and Marie Radford, both of Bent Mountain. Interment will follow in Restvale Cemetery, Floyd County. on December 28, 1996.³

While at General Electric she served as a shop steward and later as a member of the board of union local #8261 of the IUE-CWE. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. She had a special love of animals and gardening. Surviving are her daughter, Christy (Ellis) Robinson; sons, Gary D. Ellis, Danny E. (Yoshiko) Ellis, and Jerry T. (Lora) Ellis; grandchildren, Gary (Denise) Ellis Jr., Jerry T. (Angela) Ellis Jr., Christopher T. Ellis, and Rachael (Ellis) Wood; great-grandchildren, Shelby Ellis, Bonnie Ellis, Hailey Ellis, Autumn Wood, Devon Wood and Brittany Wood; and special friends, Frances Hale, Julie Porter, Alisha and Wade Daughterty, John McCloud, and Wayne Reed. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton. on February 21, 2013.⁴

He resided in the Millersburg area for 23 years, and was a native of Tarentum. He was a former constable in Upper Paxton Township, Dauphin County. on July 6, 1960.⁵
