     Arthur Leon Johns Arthur Leon Johns passed away peacefully at his home in Charlotte, NC, on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at the age of 81. Funeral services with military honors will be held graveside at Forest Grove Baptist Church cemetery in Eagle Rock, Virginia. Leon was born on April 12th, 1940 to Teddy D and Ethel B. Johns and attended Eagle Rock and James River High School. Leon was one of eleven siblings raised in a loving home on a farm in Eagle Rock, Virginia. Leon attended Forest Grove Baptist Church through his childhood and was a citizen of the Monacan Indian Nation. Leon served honorably in the United States Army from 1960 to 1962 with a final honorable discharge from the Army Reserve component in 1965. During his service to the United States, Leon served overseas in Germany during the Berlin Crisis. After his military service, Leon moved to Charlotte, NC, and became a truck driver and self-employed businessman, raising a family in a loving home. Leon was a loving and caring gentleman, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his former wife, Rosalyn; his children Karen (Switzer), Rodney, Curt (Gormican), Travis, Brandon, and Liam; his siblings, Goldie (Hambrick), Queenie (Clark), and Bobby; his grandchildren, Katie and Jack (Gormican) and Cypress and Sequoia (Johns). All will miss him dearly but grateful to know he is now with the Lord.² He was buried at Forest Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 693 Mt. Moriah Road, Eagle Rock, Botetourt Co., Virginia.² He married Iris Jean Myers, daughter of John Myers and Blanche Irene Dunbar.¹ Arthur Leon Johns and Iris Jean Myers were divorced.¹ Arthur Leon Johns was born on April 12, 1940 at Alleghany Co., Virginia.^2,3 He died on November 10, 2021 at Charlotte, Mecklenburg Co., North Carolina, at age 81.²

     Carlos Kently Wilson Carlos Kently Wilson, age 45 years, a resident of Elkins, passed away Monday, May 16, 2016 at his home. He was born July 5, 1970 at Charleston, WV, a son of Barbara Mooney Wilson who survives at Buckhannon and the late Russell "Sonny" Wilson. He was married to Patricia Dennison Wilson who survives in Elkins. Also surviving are two sons, Miguel Mackey of Elkins and R. W. Mackey of Buckhannon and three daughters, Nikki Wilson and Tasha Wilson both of Elkins and Shayla Mackey of Buckhannon. A brother Rusty, a sister Rhonda, a grandson Zeller Mackey, his former wife Marla Wilson of Elkins and his grand dog Bailee, also survive. Kent was a Veteran of the United States Coast Guard and had worked in security prior to becoming disabled. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, operating his HAM Radio and was a Civil War enthusiast. He was a member of the Way of Holiness Church of Buckhannon.¹ He was buried at Heavner Cemetery, Buckhannon, Upshur Co., West Virginia.² He married Patricia Dennison.¹ Carlos Kently Wilson married Marla Unknown.¹ Carlos Kently Wilson was born on July 5, 1970 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.¹ He died on May 16, 2016 at Elkins, Randolph Co., West Virginia, at age 45.¹
