     Barbara Jean Ayers was buried at All Souls Cemetery, 11401 Brink Road, Germantown, Montgomery Co., Maryland.³ She was born on November 16, 1943 at Lynchburg, Virginia.^1,2,3 As of June 3, 1961,her married name was Cox.¹ She married Hildred Augusta Cox Jr., son of Hildred Augusta Cox and Gladys Virginia Smith, on June 3, 1961 at Amherst Co., Virginia.¹ Barbara Jean Ayers died on August 29, 2016 at Maryland at age 72.³ She Barbara "Bobbie" Jean Cox, 72, of Germantown, Md., passed away on Monday, August 29, 2016. Interment will follow at All Souls Cemetery. Bobbie was born November 16, 1943, in Lynchburg, Va. She was a daughter of the late, George and Janie Ayers of Madison Heights, Va. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Denise Sullivan and husband, Brian, H. A. Cox and wife, Marlene, Haywood Cox, Howard Cox and wife, Karen, and Hoyt Cox; eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters, Esther Cash and husband, Bill, and Sharon Bartells and husband, Paul; and brother, Lloyd Ayers and wife, Betsy. on September 1, 2016.³

     Richard Edward Mays was buried at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5737 Airport Road NW, Roanoke, Virginia.^1,2 His Social Security Number was 230-42-7268.⁴ He was born on May 22, 1936 at Roanoke, Virginia.^1,2,3,4,5 He married Carolyn Gladys Cox, daughter of Hildred Augusta Cox and Gladys Virginia Smith, on September 2, 1960 at Madison Heights, Amherst Co., Virginia.^1,2,3 Richard Edward Mays died on May 22, 2002 at Franklin Co., Virginia, at age 66.^1,2,4,7,6 He MAYS, Richard Edward, 66, of Moneta, died on his birthday, Wednesday, May 22, 2002. He was a loving father and a great host to his many friends. He was retired from Overnite Transportation with 20 years service. Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Carolyn Cox Mays; two sons, Brian Mays of Wirtz and David Mays of Union Hall; two brothers, Daniel B. Mays of Taylorsville, N.C. and Wayne G. Lawhorne of Vinton; three nieces also survive. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. on May 23, 2002.²

     Herbert Franklin Meeks was buried at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk, Virginia.² His Social Security Number was 230-01-5349.³ He was born on January 18, 1921 at Boston, Massachusetts.^2,3,4,5 He married Christine Hundley Smith, daughter of Clarence Leslie Smith and Maude Ruth Shomo, on October 2, 1943 at Camden Co., North Carolina.¹ Herbert Franklin Meeks died on November 16, 2005 at South Boston, Halifax Co., Virginia, at age 84.^2,3,6,5 He Herbert Franklin Meeks died at Halifax Regional Hospital Nov. 16, 2005. He was born in Boston, Mass., Jan. 18, 1921, to Thomas J. and Eleanor E. Meeks. He grew up the son of two ministers in the Salvation Army Ministry. He is survived by his daughter, Donna L. Meeks; granddaughter, Christine Lena Kennon and grandson, Joshua Robert Kennon. Also, he is survived by his brother, Roy E. Meeks; and sisters, Frances Ragan, Ruth F. Wieting and Violet Bradford. Mr. Meeks married the late, Christine Hundley Smith in 1942 and had one daughter, Donna Leigh. Mr. Meeks was a World War II veteran in the Naval branch of service to his country. He lived in Virginia Beach most of his life. He was a recent resident of South Boston, Va., in the area where his daughter and grandchildren reside. Mr. Meeks was an apprentice/machinist in the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. After retirement he was self employed and enjoyed woodworking both as a living and a hobby. The family would like to encourage all who read this that we were not made for time but for eternity as we celebrate his homecoming today. Memorial services will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Norfolk chapel, followed by graveside service to celebrate his entrance to heaven. on November 18, 2005.²
