Lena Caroline Owen Lena Caroline McKinney 82 of Guntersville passed away at Marshall Manor Nursing Home and Rehab, February, 21, 2021 with family by her side. She was born August 24, 1938 to the late Roy L. Owen and Dema Muscroft Owen of Whitehorse Tennessee. She is survived by her seven children Donald Riley (Dorothy), George Wiggins, Faith Boettcher, Christine Broyles, Carole Hayes (Roy), June Wiggins, Sisters; Lula Mae Fieberg (Bill), and Roberta Peterson (Gary) Brother; Albert Owen. 18 Grandchildren, 44 Great Grandchildren, and 4 Great Great Grandchildren. She was Preceded in death by her parents Roy L. Owen and Dema Muscroft Owen. She was a loving, caring and always cheerful person who lived a long and fulfilling life, and touched the lives of many who were around her.2 She was born on August 24, 1938 at Tennessee.2 As of December 31, 1991,her married name was McKinney.1 She married Michael Kent McKinney, son of Donnie Dempsey McKinney and Tressie Ellen Paxton, on December 31, 1991 at Beloit, Floyd Co., Indiana.1 Lena Caroline Owen died on February 21, 2021 at Guntersville, Marshall Co., Alabama, at age 82.2

Arthur Leon Johns Arthur Leon Johns passed away peacefully at his home in Charlotte, NC, on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at the age of 81. Funeral services with military honors will be held graveside at Forest Grove Baptist Church cemetery in Eagle Rock, Virginia. Leon was born on April 12th, 1940 to Teddy D and Ethel B. Johns and attended Eagle Rock and James River High School. Leon was one of eleven siblings raised in a loving home on a farm in Eagle Rock, Virginia. Leon attended Forest Grove Baptist Church through his childhood and was a citizen of the Monacan Indian Nation. Leon served honorably in the United States Army from 1960 to 1962 with a final honorable discharge from the Army Reserve component in 1965. During his service to the United States, Leon served overseas in Germany during the Berlin Crisis. After his military service, Leon moved to Charlotte, NC, and became a truck driver and self-employed businessman, raising a family in a loving home. Leon was a loving and caring gentleman, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his former wife, Rosalyn; his children Karen (Switzer), Rodney, Curt (Gormican), Travis, Brandon, and Liam; his siblings, Goldie (Hambrick), Queenie (Clark), and Bobby; his grandchildren, Katie and Jack (Gormican) and Cypress and Sequoia (Johns). All will miss him dearly but grateful to know he is now with the Lord.2 He was buried at Forest Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 693 Mt. Moriah Road, Eagle Rock, Botetourt Co., Virginia.2 He married Iris Jean Myers, daughter of John Myers and Blanche Irene Dunbar.1 Arthur Leon Johns and Iris Jean Myers were divorced.1 Arthur Leon Johns was born on April 12, 1940 at Alleghany Co., Virginia.2,3 He died on November 10, 2021 at Charlotte, Mecklenburg Co., North Carolina, at age 81.2
